I have started this gofundme to help me raise treatment for a condition called TSW (topical steroid withdrawal)
I have had eczema my whole life, and have been prescribed steroids by GPs and dermatologists to calm my skin down whenever I have had a flare, with no issue. However, In late August of last year after I stopped a consecutive 2 months of oral and topical steroid use for another flare in late July. The affected areas started to blacken and feel incredibly itchy, my skin began to harden, bleed, and flake uncontrollably, accompanied by nerve pains as well as a burning sensation felt whenever I made the slightest movement. It is a very debilitating illness that has greatly reduced my quality of life since developing it, making it difficult , or sometimes impossible to do basic things that people may take for granted, such as studying for my A-levels, exercising, wearing short sleeves, swimming , making friends and socialising. My skin has become sensitive and easily irritated and often feels like it's burning , itches intensely , making even the smallest of movements feel unbearable. This illness has honestly sucked so much joy out of my life, leaving me feeling like a shell of myself.

This treatment is only available in Singapore , the UK and Thailand, and I will be going to the UK clinic called Skin Solace Aesthetic Clinic.They use a modified CAP machine designed specifically for sensitive, damaged skin caused by TSW such as mine.
