I was taking the Fair Drive on-ramp to the 55 freeway in Costa Mesa today around 5pm and saw a golden-doodle running down the middle of Newport Blvd. All lanes came to a stop and multiple people got out of their cars to help. I was a few cars back and by the time cars started moving again it became apparent the dog had run down the on-ramp onto the freeway. A few cars had pulled over on the freeway and people were out running along shoulder. We didn’t see the dog again and it didn’t look like anyone had caught it. I couldn’t find updates online. Anyone have any info if the dog was caught safely?
