Pavilion Gen 2 Presale Closing Soon!

Hey guys just wanted to let you know that we will be closing our Pavilion Gen 2 (aka PG2) Presale this Friday, May 22.

We should have some more coming in the future in Drops and SUS so if you can’t make it for this Presale you should be fine!

On the video here, you can see I’ve swapped the stock Jupiter bearing on my own pieces to try some different customizations of bearings/metals combos, just to see what I like the most, and dang these selections are fire.

Spinning vid bonus at the end of a SS Pavilion Gen 2 with a “Thebe” bearing, it’s gooood!

After 72 hours, washed dust box won’t fully dry, can’t seem to remove that water, any tips?

So I’ve washed my ‘CurvX Flow 2’ dust box for the first time and let it dry outside on a sunny day for 24 hours. Next day I’ve checked it and could still see water inside some chambers that are not accessible by hand, like I can’t stick a towel or anything in there to manually dry it.

Seems like the water entered that area via the clip part that holds the filter in there, for some reason it has a hole that leads to some unreachable chambers there.

I’ve then left it to dry for 2 more days, bringing it indoors night time and outdoors during day time, all sunny days and the water seems like it’s just circulating inside, where it evaporates, accumulates on the top and drips back down again, creating a closed system.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to get this water out?

I just wanted to share a custom work I’ve made on my Leviathan Marlin Spike, I thought you guys may like it :)

Worked with some brushing and stone-washing on the grip part, then lightly sanded down to highlight some areas. I’ve added some brushing and polishing for the spike part, so it has kind of a two tone finish now.

Later added a sort of a “camo” pattern using a black enamel paint on the spike and bead and focused on some of the grooves to bring up some contrast on the grooves and details.

Also finally had some success working with Paracord, thanks to some tutorials from the master ‘weaversofeternity’ on YouTube. Went with this brown camo pattern, and it just looks so nice.

Hope you guys enjoy! (Not for sale)

Edit: spelling

Hey guys! As you know, it’s been a while we don’t release a new spinner design, (or any spinner really) so I wanted this “UQH spinner comeback” to be kinda epic, and honestly … I think we won’t disappoint.

Say hello to the ‘Pavilion Gen 2’ (aka PG2)!

Now, I don’t wanna sound like I’m overhyping this, but I really feel like what we’ve created here is not only one of the best spinners from our entire lineup, but also one of the best I have ever experienced in my spinning journey, considering everything I’ve ever tried before.

It’s just a phenomenal spinner that checks all the boxes for my taste, beautiful and elegant, minimalist, comfortable, ergonomic, tactile and most importantly, spins like a dream.

Ok, so what makes it a “Gen 2”, and how it compares with the “Gen 1” ?

Back when I have designed the first Pavilion Gen 1, I was exploring this idea of a more “industrial” look, with sleek and well defined cuts, curves, edges and flat sides with horizontal grooves.

When designing the Pavilion Gen 2 I tried maintaining the PG1’s “soul”, or main aesthetic and profile signature, but re-imagined it as a more modernized and rounded up design. I’ve added some new tactile elements to it, like the unique diagonal micro grooves on its flat sides, a well defined “finger rest” round cut at its waist, wider but shallower concave cuts on its arms with these breathtaking deep and curved machine lines, that were done with precision to match up with the shape of the arms.

As for the buttons, we’ve kept the same amazing Plateau buttons design, but made them a bit thicker to adapt with the new design dimensions, and changed the screw system to grub screws.

I also thought that the PG2 really deserved some nice, wide and symmetrically placed “speed holes” to increase its gyro by reducing mass from the center, so we went with 10 of them (5+5), keeping a gap with no holes around its waist. (For reference, the PG1 never got speed holes).

The result is really a piece of metal art, pleasing just to look at and a spin that feels sublime. I am sure that the Pavilion Gen 2 is set to become a ‘must have’ in our community and one that will be beloved and enjoyed for years to come!

Right now we are releasing a small quantity in Titanium via Sign Up Sale on our Facebook Group, but I know most here don’t really do Facebook, so I just wanna say that we will also definitely have some Drops as well very soon, where they should be available in our Shop. I will share more infos here later on once we have a Drop for these.

If you guys have any questions just let me know.

Thank you once again r/FidgetSpinners for the opportunity and space, I appreciate you all!
