[App Discovery] Found a hidden gem on GitHub: AniPlay v1.2 (Super smooth UI, built-in schedule & tracking) 🔍✨

Hey everyone! 👋

I was looking around GitHub for some lesser-known anime apps and found a really cool project called AniPlay (by a developer named SahilKumar337) 🔍. Almost nobody knows about this app yet, but they just dropped a stable v1.2 update that is a must-try if you care about a responsive interface! 🥳I’ve been testing it out, and the main thing that stands out is how smooth and clean the animations feel. If you hate apps that feel laggy or have stuttering page layouts, you'll love how optimized this is. 📱✨

Here is what I noticed while using it:

• Native Device Storage (Capacitor Preferences)

• High-Performance HLS Player

• Dynamic Server Aggregation

• Serverless Live Update

• Large library

• Quality options

• Server options

• Sub and dub available

• Anime Schedule

• ❌ No Download Option Yet: Just a heads-up for offline viewers—the download feature is disabled right now, so you can only stream online for the time being.

• 🎨 Indigo/Violet Accent Color: The entire layout features a striking indigo/violet color scheme that gives the interface a premium look and makes the active menus pop.

• 📐 Solid Black/Dark Grey Bars: The top status bar and bottom nav menu use a clean, solid black/dark grey fill to keep the layout crisp.

Honestly, seeing a new developer care this much about structural layout smoothness, tracking features, and release schedules is a huge green flag! 🟩

[][Anikoto][] The Aniyomi extension

Hey there, I wanna know about this anikoto extension. I've been using it for a week now, and after anilab got down I had to remake my anime watchlist again from 0 so I wanna know if there are any chances of it getting down and if I should have a backup list or not.

[[AniDB] A website to watch Anime.

I don't know how many of you here know about this but in my opinion this is one of the gems. It has a sign in option, you can track what you've watched, most probably has a vast library (at least for me) and it also works on TV browser nicely.

📊 Th3-Anime vs. Anilab2: Which one is currently better?

Hey everyone! Since the community has been looking for solid alternatives lately, I wanted to put together a quick, no-nonsense comparison between two highly discussed apps right now: Th3-Anime and Anilab2.

I’ve been testing both of them over to see how they stack up in terms of UI, features, and ad-blocking capabilities. Here is the quick breakdown:

🟢 App 1: Th3-Anime (Overall Rating: ⭐ 4.5/5)Platform: Android Only (Highly Mobile Optimized).Ad-Block Quality: 100% Ad-Free with a complete distraction-free focus. Player Support: External Player Support (Integrates perfectly with VLC and MPV). Tracking: Built-in account tracking integration. Download Support: Yes, features great offline discovery and caching choices. The Pros: Beautiful, ultra-fast UI design framework; zero bloatware; fully open-source on GitHub. The Cons: No native iOS app available yet; relatively small community size.

🔵 App 2: Anilab2 (Overall Rating: ⭐ 4.2/5). Platform: Android Mobile and Android TV / Firestick variants available.Ad-Block Quality: Built-in AdBlocker that successfully bypasses custom DNS blocks. Player Support: Native internal player (Fixes old player redirect glitches). Tracking: Local Favorites list and internal viewing history only. Download Support: Yes, supports high-speed offline viewing downloads. The Pros: Skip Intro and Outro one-tap buttons; excellent Dual Audio (Sub/Dub) support; buffer-free optimized streaming. The Cons: The user interface can feel a bit clunky on specific TV setups; occasional scraper breaks during updates.

🧠 My Quick Verdict:

Go with Th3-Anime if: You care about a beautiful, clean layout, absolute privacy, and a lightweight app that has zero bloatware. The open-source nature means it is super snappy.

Go with Anilab2 if: You want a more traditional "streaming site" feel, heavily watch dubbed content, or need something that you can easily side-load onto a TV screen. The native skip intro button is a massive quality-of-life feature.

💬 What do you guys think? For those who have used both, which one has had more stable streams for you lately? Are there any hidden features I missed? Let's discuss below!

[Th3-Anime] Could be the successor of Anilab.

I wonder why most people aren't talking about the "th3-anime" it is totally the successor of anilab. It doesn't even needs any external player and the Ul is also like Anilab just in green accent. Also more features are there for player.
