School year in Saudi Arabia
Salam. As I understand, Saudi Arabia adopted the western style gregorian calendar quite recently in 2016. Is the school year still pegged to the Hijri calendar or has it been changed to Gregorian calendar for ease?
How did it work when it was (or if it still is) linked to the Hijri calendar? Like when did/do the school start and end?

Project Sukkathuraa - Claiming Socotra for Greater Maldives
Let's start of saying chagos is meh. A bunch of low lying islands that's no better than current islands we have. What our great nation needs is a large landmass. And that is Socotra. Or "Sukkathuraa" as it is known in Dhivehi. The residents are already mu'minin, hence no problem for Maldivians to deal with.
Ofc the island very arid. We must engineer its climate to make the island more productive. We build artificial lakes on the island by damming its ravines and pumping them with desalinated sea water. Water is crucial for everything. From moderating climate, supporting humans and establishing agriculture.
Before any ecowarrior says anything, yes, we will have protected reservations for its breathtaking native wildlife.
Our great nation needs room to expand. And this is the way forward!
