Saw this post on Friends and TBBT subreddit, so I thought why not ask this here.

Hey everyone,

I (19M) will be arriving in Karachi at midnight from the GCC next weekend. I’ll be traveling with my younger brother and father, and we'll be going to a relative's house in block 13, gulshan-e-iqbal.

I’ll have a ufone super card ready, so local mobile data is not a worry. However, I’m a bit anxious about the safety of commuting from the airport so late at night given the current street crime situation in the city.

A few specific questions:

1. Is it safe to drive from the airport to gulshan between 12:00 AM and 1:00 AM?
2. Yango or indrive, which is currently safer and more reliable at the airport around midnight? Or should I ask a relative to pick us up?
3. How is the security situation specifically around block 13 late at night? Are mobile snatchings/robberies common on shahrah-e-faisal, university road, and the surrounding areas?

Any extra safety tips or recent experiences would be highly appreciated.
