Requesting help with beat forms

Video here: https://imgur.com/a/MInISSy

Retrying with an Imgur video (sorry for the double post)

Apologies for this being rope, not silks. I know silks can have beats as well and (to my knowledge) we don't have a rope specific sub. If needed or not allowed, I can remove and retake a video of me on actual silks. I need some help with my beats. It's only been a couple months of beat work and I still don't understand fully. I do get the general concept of beats (they should be easy, you should feel heavy at the bottom, and the momentum should carry you through), but my front/back and pike beats don't feel easy or smooth.

My pike beats are especially choppy and I'm struggling to understand where the momentum should be taking me. Right now it feels a little like muscling through those. My front/back is especially confusing because I'm scared my grip will fail (it's happened) and I don't know if I should be bending my arms or going into hip flexion. I do have my arms bent on a couple, but sometimes I try to move through front lever position. Both feel awkward and wrong. Can anyone give me form pointers on what I should be thinking about while beating?
