PvE players are something else.

Haven't played in a while, figure I'd give PvE a go to get back into the swing of things as far as monsters and looting goes. I made enough gold to unlock Goblin Caves, decided to try my hand at Cyclops to see if I could still remember the fight, ended up first trying him. Then like vultures maybe 4 different players descended from the shadows on the loot. First the Cyclops, then the pile. I got a Mystic Gem so I went to try for that pile and there were 3 players just waiting at the door afk!

I get that there's literally no risk outside of monsters, but man, some of these PvE players are totally shameless.

are there any servers with PVP walls disabled?

This shits so boring, it makes every fight incredibly unfun. The minute you shoot at someone they've fortnited themselves into a box and just sit there waiting for their teammates to come back.

I miss when external walls were the only pvp walls. They were expensive, so no one ran them. Now you can craft these walls without a workbench and they're incredibly cheap.

Maybe I'm just nostalgic for old Rust, but having to actually consider your positioning should be a huge part of pvp engagements. Now its just wall up and wait. Wall up and wait. Its so ridiculously boring.

This is a Vanilla US Main server 2 days after wipe.

I might be alone in this, but this is absolutely insane. What is even the point of doing anything if everything you could ever want is one trip to outpost and a few minutes of grinding a way? There's no excitement in finding an item you need, you can just buy it. There's no reason to grind out guns, you can just buy them. There's no reason to attempt to make a farm...you can just buy teas.

And for big groups, they don't have to worry about farming or roaming outside of their monument, because they're large and running their monument. They have an endless supply of blueprint fragments and T2 guns to sell for Sulfur, or Metal, or HQM. Why do anything but run their singular monument and put their spoils up for sale?

I'm not saying this is the only issue Rust has at the moment, but I really feel like this contributes a lot to the problem.
