Starting to Plan a trip, and have accessibility questions.
So I'm planning a trip to Chengdu with my family. It would be our first trip to China and we're really looking forward to going a year or so from now.
My biggest question will be about accessibility. My Mother has some mobility issues due to injury and needs to take frequent brakes to sit and rest. She can, and is very willing, to climb short stairs if needed but it takes her time.
When we visited Japan the last few times, we brought with us a collapsible travel stool for her. And used it alot in Tokyo Disney.
Would it be Acceptable to bring a collapsible chair for her to use when in Chengdu? We arent planning amusment parks (outside of panda garden) so I'm unsure if it would be frowned upon to generally use out in the streets or parks or shopping areas.
Also, do stores/places generally have rentable wheelchairs? There were a few places in Tokyo we were able to rent a wheelchair and it made things alot more enjoyable to navigate when we'r planning longer outings.
Please let me know, I have alot of time leading up to our desired trip.
