J1772 Extension Cable

I recently purchased a Mini Countryman PHEV. I’m renting and have a 120V outlet behind my house I can use. The charger that came with my car can reach only if I park my car in an awkward position that blocks others from accessing the basement door. If I park in my normal spot, I can reach the outlet with a minimum 16 foot extension. I don’t want to use an extension cord, so I’m looking for a J1772 extension cable with a minimum length of 16’. Does anyone have a recommendation?

First Rule 1

I brought home my 2022 Countryman seven days ago. I had my first Rule 1 today. I think it’s a good one.

Scuff marks on door panel

I just bought a 2022 MINI Countryman in like-new condition, except it has these scuff marks on the inside of the driver’s door. The material is hard textured plastic. I first tried a damp cloth, then a Magic Eraser, but no luck. They aren’t hugely noticeable, but I would like to remove them if possible. Any suggestions?

Fuel for Countryman PHEV

I’m buying a 2022 Countryman SE plug-in hybrid with the 3 cylinder engine. To anyone who has that car, do you run it on premium gas, or does it run OK on mid-grade?

My current car (Lexus UX) will be coming to the end of its lease, and I’m considering buying a 2022 Countryman SE All4 PHEV. I don’t have a commute, but many days I only use my car for short trips and drive less than 10 miles. So if I charge my car nightly, a PHEV, even with short EV range, makes sense.
My question is about charging when you can’t park close to an outlet. I rent my house, and putting in a Level 2 charger is not feasible (if it was, I’d buy an EV.) However, I do have a 120V outlet outside by my back door. There is an enclosed patio between the back door and my parking space. I measured with a long measuring tape, and allowing for slack, a 40-foot cable would reach from the outlet to the charging port on the car. I know that every EV manufacturer advises against using an extension cord to plug in a charger, but does that also pertain to a Level 1 charger with a plug-in hybrid? Or, is it possible to buy a charger with a 40-foot cable?
