Can I get HSV 1 from my partner even if he hasn't had an outbreak?
My partner has HSV 1 in the genital area. We live in a country where herpes is relatively uncommon, and I don't have it. He told me beforehand that he has herpes on his buttocks but he hasn't had an outbreak in a long time. He took antiviral medication years ago, and the outbreak went away. If we have soft intimacy, could my chances of getting herpes high?
