Interview tips

Hey teachers,

Im a new graduate looking to get an OT job at PDSB or TDSB for P/J. Prior to this I've only ever done freelance jobs that never required an interview. This will be my first interview ever which I'm frankly not proud of and I'm insanely nervous as I forget everything I've learned and also forget how to form a coherent sentence when under pressure. How did you prepare yourself for interviews? Are there any specific questions you remember from your interview and are there any buzz words that I should include in my answers? How long did it take for you to hear back after your interview?

How do I get on the supply list?

Hello teachers,

I've just finished my BEd and my convocation is in October. I've applied for a transitional certificate which is still being processed by the OCT. I'm not really sure where to go from here now. My school didn't teach us anything about applying, interviewing etc. I want to get on the supply list for PDSB or TDSB but I don't know where to start and what to put on my resume. Any direction will be so appreciated ;-;

Worried about employment

I'm graduating from the accelerated P/J BEd program from York this month and I'm really worried about finding a job. Teachers who are working at pdsb or tdsb, is it difficult to find supply, OT, or LTO jobs?

I did my undergrad in early childhood education with a minor in disabilities. Would it be worth it to complete AQ's right away? Thank you for any insights.
