I have been thinking about power grip and how to possibly improve on it. Been working on putts and feel like one thing that makes a serious difference in line stability and spin on the putt is downforce on the thumb into the flight plate creating a pinch between the thumb and middle finger.
Thinking about trying something like that with my driver grip to see if it outweighs the snap created from just having 4 hooks into the rim. Has anyone got any experience with that type of grip or something similar and does it help with generating better snap/spin or is the traditional 4 finger grip just the king?
So happy this was there at the goodwill its going directly into my main bag once its warmed up.
When you are lining up a 20-25 foot putt do you have any mental process you go through to help you make more putts? Does your mental approach change at all when you step up to try and make something at 50-60 feet instead?
Was doing some light basket work in my front yard working 25-30 foot putts and kinda figured out something with my ohm that I like aimwise.
I am normally a right toe point to pole putter but I started playing with pointing the right toe to the left edge of the basket and putting the disc on anhyzer then just throwing at the basket from that position and found my lines got tighter and more accurate. The disc would gently flex over and hit close to center of basket consistently.
I got to where my lines are on point almost every throw pretty quickly inside of about 25-30 feet and its mostly just a matter of hitting the right power and loft to keep the disc up before it hits the basket. Not a magic pill to make every putt but seemed to make putting almost instantly easier and when I was missing it was still mostly hitting off and staying close.
Starting to work out the ohm as my throwing outter and was pushing pretty consistent 230 feet on standstills so going to start working on x stepping it. Anyone who throws putters for distance have any tips on how to push a bit farther with it?
What are your thoughts on par 2 courses? Have you played one? Would play one? Never heard of them? Think they help your game? For reference the idea is a course where every hole is around 150-190 with different shot shapes and you have to 2 putt from the tee for par.
My wife got me a 2 hour round with Ryan Stilson at The Canyons in Lockport, IL for my 42nd birthday.
If you are in the Chicago area and you want to improve your game look him up! He got me to a proper x step form and I parked a 350+ basket for the first time ever.
I am scoping out parks in my area in the hopes of eventually getting a local course. This park is approximately 1260 feet in length and 670-680 feet across.
Curious if anyone with some course design experience feels like this is a solid enough park to plan a tight 9 hole course say 150-250 foot holes heavy woods. Would want to stay away from the building and the dog pens at the bottom of the picture.
