Looking for a tint shop, one piece rear, group buys?

Friends have been recommending Auto Bliss in Ajax who I planned to use, dropped by today, looking at around $450, but they only do the half rear glass. I saw some pictures of the 'line', I don't think I want that. Durham Autohaus! had some good reviews, they have experience with the full back piece and are a Tesla partner shop, they want $650 for the XPEL Ceramic.....I can swing that I just was just wondering if anyone has any others or knows of any group buys to save a bit of $$$...

thanks!

Picked up today, experience and one FSD failure!

I picked up my M3 RWD any Etobicoke today I like so many of you. Everything went smoothly, and thanks to reading the posts on this sub, as expected. I found one minor paint defect on the front edge of the passenger door, looks like the clearcoat was damaged. Already have a service appointment for them to fix. Worried about rust on that spot. As for the Etobicoke experience while they were nice and everything went smooth smoothly, having me stand in line for more than half an hour didn’t feel like a premium experience. They should just give everyone a number and have them sit down. But it’s a minor complaint, more so because my lower back is acting up this week. I am sure they would have accommodated me if I asked nicely.

I used a mix of FSD and manual drive on the way home to Ajax. FSD worked well, but after I got home I went to the metro plaza up at Salem and Taunton, coming back out of the plaza it pulled onto Taunton to soon (turning left to go south), and got stuck in the northbound lanes waiting for traffic to clear - and cars heading north were fast approaching! I actually had nowhere to go, and I had to put it into reverse to back up into the plaza. I will always be ready for these events, and still considered FSD to be a great feature.

They told me I have 24 hours to report any additional pick up issues, including issues with paint. I would recommend everyone drive the car themselves on the way home and not just use FSD to get a feel for the steering and any other potential issues.

I also found the area where everyone was picking up a bit funny, all the cars had the hazards flashing and cabin overheat protection enabled, it was super hot today so it was all flashing lights and loud fans!

ESA Certification question

I have a 100A panel. I had the Tesla Wall adapter installed with a 40A breaker, set to 32A max charge. My car can only do 32A, which is great. ESA inspector came buy but wasn't happy that there were no 'high voltage' labels on the charger itself. The install was fine but he is waiting for my electrician to complete a load calculation. I did get the 12 months peak data from the utility but he rejected that and wants the calculation. Electrician took pictures of my stove, AC and clothes dryer labels to go back and perform this calculation. While I am waiting, I ran these numbers myself (used the same labels and plugged them into AI) and it looks like I am slightly over the 100A with the charger at 32A (102.3 i think). From what I read, the easiest option is to set the wall adapter to 24A, which is perfectly fine for my use, I don't drive that much. I can also install the load management, but I think it's overkill for me and just creates and added expense. My AC is old so eventually it will break down and when I replace it I may be able to do a new load calculation and bump the Tesla charger back up to 32A, or I can also switch my stove to gas. These are future options that may happen when it's time to replace these appliances.

I am just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation and if my reasoning is correct - as far as passing the inspection mainly.

Thanks.

Delivery day defects

Curious how many of you have found cosmetic issues at pickup that were addressed on the spot, small scratches, rock chips, etc? Do they do paint corrections while there? Do these fixes last? This is my primary concern with I pick up, anything electronic or mechanical will be covered by warranty so I want to focus my delivery inspection on cosmetic issues…

Trade in value before and after purchase

I obtained a trade in quote for my CRV before I ordered my M3, just went to the tesla website and filled in the form and answered some basic questions. Value was low, as expected, compared to what the market currently looks like on similar CRVs. I am a couple of weeks away from delivery so I pulled up the app and requested a trade in value again just to see...this time it was a lot more involved, asked for pictures and more questions. I'm not expecting much, just doesn't hurt to try.

Wondering if anyone has had any luck getting a better offer after purchase this way? I know what I can sell it for and I understand the trade in will lower my HST, so I have the numbers in my head. I would probably be willing to leave a little on the table to avoid the headache of selling it myself - but the original offer was thousands less that I can get on the open market...

Thanks.

Financing on Ontario with a large down payment and longer term

I can afford to pay the car cash and I can also afford to put the minimum down and choose any term from 36 to 96 months. My original plan was to put down $25K, just based on where I have my money sitting around..

My EDD is coming up and I need to decide soon, this week or next.

I am wondering if anyone has been able finance a smaller amount, say around $10,000 for the full 96 month term. I suspect they will reject it and ask for a shorter term.

I'm not looking for advice on long term, more interest etc...I will probably pay it off much quicker, I am just managing cash flow in a specific way.

Typically when financing a new or used car you would be sitting with the finance manager and can discuss options on the spot, but this is Tesla and it's all done through an app, so I am asking her if anyone has tried the same scenario and what happened? I don't want to delay the process and start hunting for phone numbers if it is denied because of their minimum policies - or will I just be able to click back in the app and put in new numbers?

Thanks!

Upper chest pain diagnosed with a sizable stone what to expect?

I have been having upper chest pain on my right upper chest (above my nipple towards the center) for a few weeks now. I assumed it was from doing a bunch of pushups to get in shape for summer, but being a male in my 50s, with a family history of heart surgery I decided to consult my doctor. He didn't think it was heart related, did a CT Scan to look at my lungs but nothing came of that and finally ordered an ultrasound. He called me today to say there is a 'sizable stone; and is referring me to a surgeon. He also said I have a fatty liver, which is common for someone my age and would just monitor that with bloodwork and diet.

I don't like the idea of surgery / removal...I am sure everyone is the same...but all I hear is that it's routine, etc.

I am just trying to arm myself with information and wondering if anyone else has had the same symptoms...it's kind of mild, more of a pressure than pain feeling. I have tried to observe if it comes after I eat, but it's hard to gauge ...I mean sure it happens an hour or so after eating but I eat at random times so I can't really say for sure. It's always the same area on my upper chest.

Also in the past year or so I have had a few incidents where I was feeling intense pressure and pain on my whole abdomen area, or had acid burn in my esophagus area, something I was never prone to in the past. Wondering if this is related. It was bad enough that I couldn't sleep. In January of 2025 my abdominal pain was so intense I went to the hospital...they found a kidney stone but said that didn't explain the abdominal pain, only the pain in my thigh area that I also had that night.

I am in Canada, Ontario....and am wondering what to expect when I see the surgeon. From what I have read they don't explore medication or stone breaking treatments in this region and go strait to surgery. I am willing and able to make lifestyle changes with diet and exercise. But I have read this won't remove the stones only help with ongoing health.

When I had the kidney stone after the second CT Scan THAT doctor said it hadn't moved and want to go in to remove it (ureteroscopy). I wasn't too keen on that so I didn't book the surgery and when I finally worked up the courage to do it, he said too much time had passed and ordered another CT Scan - and the stone was gone!

Hoping to hear from anyone with similar symptoms (upper chest pain / pressure) and anyone in Ontario to know what I am in for.

Sorry this is long but thanks for reading.

Collapsible wagon that fits in subtrunk

Wondering if anyone has found a collapsible wagon that fits in the sub-trunk of the 2026 Model 3. The kind you use to haul groceries up to your condo. AI is telling me this one works, but I haven't found any photos to prove it!

EV installer Durham Region Ontario

Anyone in Durham Region (GTA) have any luck finding an electrician using the 'list on Tesla's website? I have read up on this, know what to expect and what I probably need...just starting the process to find an installer. I want it done by the book including the required permit, but at the same time I don't want to pay thousands of dollars.

Another ordered mine today post...

Just put my $250 in on a stealth grey M3 RWD...I am still not fully decided on getting a Y standard, but Tesla rep said I can transfer the $250 on a Y if I want, this way I lock in the $39K price and get in the queue..

I used my phone and Apple Pay does show the $250 purchase, but nothing from Tesla, no email confirming the order, nothing in the App ....but I guess I wasn't logged into anything when I ordered, I was in the browser not the app....did I screw up? How does Tesla associate this order with me so I can get email and app updates?
