2 years smoke free 🚭
2 years ago 10pm was an evening before a surgery when I had my official last cigarette after 25 years of smoking. I’ve had a large growth on the side of my neck with high suspicion of cancer that was pressing on my neck artery and windpipe and had to be removed. I was in the OR for over 6 hours. Thankfully it was all benign and surgery went without complications thanks to the amazing team of doctors, assistants, specialists and residents who were there with me. It pushed me into permanently changing my habits and my mindset in hope that my body will treat me kinder if I do the same back. This last entire year I didn’t even think about smoking, it feels like a completely different life from here.
