Trying to get my inverted pencil (any advice?)

I'm still pretty new to Ayesha, can only do it going down and with twisted grip. I can hold my Ayesha for pretty long on spin, but once i leave the shape , it starts feeling shakey. So atm i can only transition from ayesha to crucifix or extended butterfly. My goal (one of my goals) is to be able to do a ceiling walk, which is why i need the inverted pencil or straightedge, whatever it's called. I just started dabbling in it. Any advice ? ☺️

New brassy tricks I taught myself today

I learned butterfly to brass monkey transition, skydiver and brass bridge today. 😍 The tricks might not be as smooth yet but I came up with the combo myself and am proud of it ☺️

Combo also features my favourite trick iguana fang 🥰

Best vegan breakfast in London?

I'm here for 4 more days. I'm staying in Camden but would also go somewhere else for a very nice vegan breakfast.

Also taking any other recommendations other than breakfast :)

First aerial shoulder mounts thanks to y'alls advice!!

So some days ago I posted a video of me not quite getting my aerial shoulder mount. I've unlocked my shoulder mount from the floor about a month ago, but so far wasn't able to get my bum high enough in the aerial. But in hindsight I think I only ever tried the aerial maybe 5,6 times and always on spin.

You guys gave me some great advice. What helped most was to not start it from dove/superman and to do it on static.

So 2 days after my "failed" aerial SM session I tried again. First on static from figure head. And lo and behold: IT F***ING WORKED! Success! It wasn't even all that hard. I think I had the core strength all along from my strength training and I think rewatching my own video where I first got my feet to the pole like a million times might have made my brain click 😂

Right as I got my first aerial SM I was like: yay, so now I can try a deathlay. 😂 So I tried that like 4 times. And then I also tried the aerial SM on spin twice. So I did 7 aerials in that one session 😍 (They're all in the video in the order I did them lol)

The only problem is that now that I'm up on the pole I can't seem to fit my legs between myself and the ceiling (I'm tall) 🙈 In the last try I was gonna do a brass monkey but had to abort mission since I felt I didn't have enough space left for my legs to do so. So I figured I'd try and challenge myself to do a controlled descend instead

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR ADVICE!!! 😍

Watch me struggling with my aerial shoulder mount 😭

A month ago I unlocked my shoulder mount. But unfortunately I'm only able to do it from the ground so far. Today I managed to get my feet to the pole somehow for the first time, but I'm afraid it doesn't count 🥲 well, baby steps I guess, right ?!

Trying to freestyle to Nine Inch Nails

I'm very new to freestyling and pretty new to pole. Got my own pole 3 weeks ago and trying to get comfortable with just going with the music without planning things out. And I just love this song 💜

Is my shoulder mount controlled?

I just recently unlocked my shoulder mount and am trying to improve it. I try to get up controlled without using momentum. I'm new to this move and have no idea if my shoulder mount is ok like that? Since I'm doing it on spin I need to push myself away from the floor in the direction of the spin, don't know if that translates into momentum on the way up..

Any opinions? Any advice?

Also: next I want to learn a shoulder mount/dismount from an inverted crucifix. How much harder is that in comparison to the version I'm doing in my video?

Chester Scream challenge with Ayesha

Me figuring out whether I can hold my Ayesha for the duration of Chester Bennington's scream in the song "Given Up" by Linkin Park.

Saw other sports related videos on this challenge and thought I'd make my pole version since I recently learned Ayesha ☺️

How to get into Dove?

I've been trying to do Dove for months now. But I just cannot reach the pole with my free hand. I feel like I don't have enough strength in my right arm to pull my upper body close enough to the pole for my left hand to reach the pole.

I figured I might have to slide down on the pole somewhat so as to not be vertical to the floor but more diagonal , to make it easier. But as you can see in the video, I'm even struggling with sliding down and don't really know how to.

Any advice is appreciated. 🙏

So i started pole 7 months ago and am progressing pretty fast, due to my obsession with it, training 3-4 times a week and strength training background.

I never even thought of trying Ayesha though, because I thought it's way too advanced for me as a beginner. Today my instructor in my beginner/intermediate class said we're gonna try Ayesha. I thought she was nuts and there was no way I was gonna be able to do it. But I did it on first try and didn't even need the spotting . We were both surprised. It wasn't even an aspiration of mine to do Ayesha, but now i'm just so proud 🥹
