Request: two 9x4.5 fire bricks

We had a tiny fire in a can for the 4th to roast marshmallows and I would like to make the setup safer by putting the can on a couple of fire bricks.

Anyone have a couple left over?

Thank you!

I am in the Johnson Creek Area.

Request: about a foot of tyvek tape

Going camping on Friday and realized my ground cloth (house wrap) that was just gifted to me had a hole that poked through in four spots. It was rolled up and looks like a nail went into it on the roll.

Anyone have a foot of tyvek tape I could snag?

Logsdon and Co repro boots from the 1880s - 1930s

Bought these a month or so ago, and after a day of wearing, applied dubbing with Otterwax.

I am extremely pleased so far. I bought these for outdoor use, primarily. I outgrew my old PNW boots--yay for getting older and foot spreading.

They are quite comfortable. I haven't tried the waterproofness yet--its been dry here for a bit, but the dubbing is completely absorbed.

I have considered putting SM Wholesale repro rubber soles and heels on them. I kinda want to see how they feel in the rain first.

Advice on making a wizard staff with a captured ball?

I have a 25 year old who is awesome. They wear wizard outfits to bars and shows often. Fun fact: wear it once, you are the weirdo, wear it twice and You Are The Wizard.

Anyway: they want to get a wizard staff with a captured Buzz Ball in the top ala Gandalfs staff.

I guess we should get a hazel with a root ball so we can soak it and then form it around the buzz ball , letting it dry after straightening.

Anyone have advice on the above steps?

Looking for a green hazel trunk w/ root ball intact

I have a 25 y/o kid that has asked for a wizard staff that can have a buzz ball put into the crown (root ball) ala Gandalfs staff.

I would like to soak it and form the root ball around the buzz ball bottle and then let it dry out

Weird request, I know, but this kid wears wizarda costumes to bars and shows already, so they deserve the effort on my part.

Seeking a wallpaper remover steamer

I have a bunch of carpet squares in my garage. All of it adhered down with this super thick adhesive. To textured concrete.

I hate this.

I would love to try a wallpaper remover steamer and just let it sit on the tiles for a minute or two to see if the moisture softens the glue.

Anyone have one I could borrow or have? I am not sure this will work, but it has almost zero risk of ruining the device and might actually make my life much easier.

I have been wanting to make a staff for a few decades now and my child wants one. Seems like the universe is telling me to make a staff and have some fun with it.

I have a saw and am happy to coppice with you in exchange for a bit of the spoils.

Thanks!

A close friend of mine had his knee replaced just in time for his birthday — He got titanium for his birthday!

They are looking for an ice machine to borrow for a month or so and aren’t on Reddit, but are on FB BuyNothing. I offered to list this request here.

Anyone have one that they wont be using until their summer party?
