I wanted to ask, what do you think about this storage expansion for the MacBook Pro, since I bought the 512GB variant, I was wondering if this would be practical and wouldn't get hot. I will mainly be storing PDF files each around 1-3GB and thousands of pages and containing High Quality Images. I will also store Photos and Videos and Movies (90 minutes ~8GB). Would this be a good option or will it get hot for the work I do?

I recently bought this MacBook Pro M5 right before the price hike. it was quite difficult to get as a student. And I dropped it today in my room thankfully the floor had a carpet, and the laptop was fully intact (screen, trackpad, fan) but sadly I noticed the lid slightly misaligned (see photos) its not that much but its enough to feel it with your fingernail and even lift it from the left side.
Right now my only concern is, if its only cosmetic, I dont mind it, but if it is subject to friction and may cause hinge problems after a few thousand times of opening and closing it, I would have to take to repair.
There is no sound when opening nor any opposing force compared to before the drop.
EDIT: you guys are being real helpful thanks, I said if it is going to cause functional issues in the future, I will take it in for repair at an Apple Certified Repair Center. Just because you have OCD doesn't mean I have it too.
Hate to be that ungrateful A*hole, but is it possible to get the non-LTSC version of MS OFFICE on my Mac. I do use the features that are on the non-LTSC version.
I've never in my life ever used a Mac but these laptop prices for windows are just insane and decided im getting a 15 inch MB Air M5 for University. I have used Linux (CachyOS KDE Plasma and Ubuntu) so I hope the switch is easy. I actually thought, hey, Mac is faster, snappier, better looking, and does all the work I want it to (and is of course cheaper for me than the new Panther lake laptops that still dont beat it). The finaly push that made me pic a MB Air was the release of the Surface Laptop 8 and their prices. And because I also stopped trusting in windows 11 and privacy and stuff a long time ago.
Anyhow, do any of you have any tips for a pure windows user switching over to Mac?
