For folks who read a lot and otherwise engage with ideas, where do you go to talk about things that spark your curiosity? Obviously, there are forums and social media, but I guess I'm looking for a place for deeper, more meaningful discussion. Have had several careers across like a dozen countries, so social and intellectual isolation is a problem.

I find that this kind of learning can be a bit of a lonely pursuit if one doesn't have an appropriate social group. And most of the platforms we have today are not suitable for genuine, open-minded conversation about ideas.

I'm looking for recommendations for a tax accountant. I have some foreign rental income to declare (I pay taxes on it in a foreign country (EU), and there's a double tax treaty), and capital gains on investments (less than 5 trades a year, usually) and interest. Hopefully someone who knows this stuff and won't charge a fortune!
