Hey guys, does anyone have a good entry/exit point for tubing on the Mayo river? I see the park website has multiple access points but I haven't been there to see it.
We tube and kayak a lot, and I don't mind if we have to pick up the tubes here and there because of shallow water/rocks.
MRI:
IMPRESSION:
Tear at the base of the superior labrum.
Cleft at the base of the posterior labrum could reflect a component of
tearing. This could be further assessed with MR arthrography if indicated.
Op note:

EUA: Full motion, mild sulcus but symmetric to the contralateral side, slight shuck anteriorly again symmetric to contralateral side
Cartilage surfaces: Normal
Biceps:type II SLAP tear and tearing in the anterior superior interval. Debrided labral tearing, biceps tenodesis performed
Labrum: Anterior labral tearing noted as above, the remainder of the capsule while somewhat patulous was normal and there was no sign of tearing in the areas of the labrum and the would typically cause instability.
 Capsule: Capsulitis noted though mild
 Subscapularis: Normal

Supraspinatus: 5% articular sided leading edge supraspinatus tearing consistent with chronic biceps tendinitis eroding the cuff. Debrided back
Infraspinatus: Normal
 Teres Minor: Normal
Subacromial space: Significant bursitis and inflammatory changes, impingement signs

Patient's tissue quality was good and her primary issue appears to be her SLAP tear.

Therapy to start immediately following rotator cuff protocol Sling for 1 week

Overall happy I got surgery, the relief on my neck/traps has been instant. Day 3 after surgery. Hoping I'll be back to work soon and this doesn't happen again (I'm an ultrasound tech and these issues are all from work).

A lot of emotions right now. Couldn't stand scanning one day, got an MRI. Showed a torn labrum. Surgery yesterday, he did debridement of my labrum and reattached my biceps tendon to the non injured portion of my labrum. He also found bone spurs (arthritis at 35 years old?!) He also shaved off part of my acromion because it was laterally downsloping causing impingement on my rotator cuff with significant bursitis. Very small supraspinatus tear/fraying that he also did debridement of.
Nothing debilitating or anything, but now I'm out 3 months of work on FMLA which means I'm losing out on $15,000 of pay, plus $4000 for surgery (which is my maximum out of pocket on my insurance.... assuming it's all tier 1 since insurance companies are garbage and now it's not just in network or our of network, there's now a tier system for in network providers and it's garbage). Tried to confirm coverage for the physician, the surgery center, and the anesthesia which was a nightmare as well. Nobody knows anything.
Also- before surgery, I spent so much money on massages, PT and dry needling. Like is this career even worth going back to after all of this? Even if I can scan 100% after rehab, isn't this all just going to happen again? I scan as ergonomically as possible, but it is still ruining my body. Just feeling all sorts of ways right now.
Part of me is also relieved because I've been scanning in pain for a while and no one took me seriously after getting imaging/surgery and coming to a breaking point at work. But it still doesn't feel like the doctors believe that sonography requires physical exertion the way that it does. Just super frustrated/mad/upset and needed to vent to those who understand.
ETA: it's my right shoulder, selfie cam just reverses it lol
So I have a labrum tear from my field of work (I'm an ultrasound tech, repetitive motion and reaching/pushing into people all day).
These are my MRI results:
Tear at the base of the superior labrum.
Cleft at the base of the posterior labrum could reflect a component of
tearing. This could be further assessed with MR arthrography if indicated.
Will this require surgery to fix or will PT fix it? If PT should suffice, can I do PT while continuing to work successfully? Or do I need to take FMLA? (My job requires me to use my shoulder constantly). Dr. prescribed me oral Voltaren but it doesn't really do anything for the pain.
