Jack is not as bad as people say

I have a soft spot for Jack, and I was actually quite surprised to see how much hate he is getting.

In my early twenties, I dated someone with pretty severe ADHD, and I recognise a lot of my ex in Jack. My ex would mix up names all the time, get things confused, or completely forget conversations we'd had because his brain was constantly in overdrive. It was never because he was an asshole or uninterested. His brain was just all over the place.

That's probably why I find Jack weirdly refreshing to watch on Love Is Blind. He doesn't seem calculated or overly aware of how he is coming across on camera. If anything, he seems almost incapable of filtering himself. What you see is what you get, and I find that quite endearing.

And I think that's the biggest reason I don't see him the way some other viewers seem to. I don't see bad intentions behind his behaviour. Even when he messes up, I don't get the feeling that he's being calculated, manipulative or deliberately disrespectful. Most of the time, I genuinely think his brain is just moving faster than he can keep up with. That doesn't mean his actions can't hurt someone, but to me there is a big difference between bad behaviour and bad intentions.

I really don't think he is an asshole or a player, and I genuinely believe he adores Faye.

That being said, I also think being in a relationship with someone like Jack can be HARD. The things that are adorable when you're falling in love with someone can become exhausting once the butterflies wear off. He is chaotic and all over the place, and I think a lot of partners would eventually find him childish or end up feeling more like a parent than a partner.

That's actually why I like Faye with him. She seems serious and grounded without being too serious or rigid. She genuinely seems to enjoy his playful side rather than seeing it as childish, while still being able to call him out when his behaviour affects her. She doesn't seem like she wants him to be less "Jack", she just expects him to take some responsibility for how his chaos affects her.

The whole "going for a walk" thing was definitely fishy, though. I don't think he went off cheating or anything like that, but he was absolutely in the wrong for disappearing for hours without letting Faye know where he was. ADHD can explain some of the chaos, but it doesn't mean Faye should just have to put up with everything.

As for the preview for the next episode: it screams reality TV editing to me. My prediction is that he overslept and is going to turn up late. I really don't believe he would just completely ghost Faye on their wedding day.

But who knows. Maybe next week Jack will make me look like an absolute idiot for writing this post 😂

My conclusion: Jack isn't a red flag to me. Compared to some of the men we've seen on previous seasons of this show, he's honestly fine. An orange flag at worst. 😂

Actually, I think the men this season are surprisingly okay compared to previous seasons.

Except Ryan. Ryan is a red flag.

Now watch them all prove me wrong next week LOL.

Is Ajay hate safe here

I haven’t watched past where jack and Ajay have a convo about his comment in the men’s lounge. Also let me preface by saying I don’t actually like a single person on this show. I find Ciara to be extremely insufferable. The person I hate the most is Jack lmao.

HOWEVERRRR

I think Ajay is kind of confusing? He was soo into Ciara and when she said she liked nice things he was INTOO THAT he said she was bougie and he liked that. He told her I want you I’m here. He didn’t say a thing about his finances. Ciara made her expectation clear and he accepted it. So when he asked her “who do you expect to pay the bill when we go out to eat” was lowkey dumb and made me think he was trying to make her seem a certain way while making himself seem down to earth. He knew her answer yet he made her say she expected him to pay. He could have just communicated clearly and said “listen i want to be clear abt my finances…” etc etc from the start. Matter of fact before he even made his intentions super clear with her!

Offence #2 is the whole Jack thing. Why did Ajay bring up Jack’s comment in the men’s lounge AFTER he proposed while they were having a moment in bed? And then to say to jack “oh nah man I was never mad don’t even worry about it kiss kiss” while Ciara is going to BAT for him. That pissed me off so bad lmao. sorry to everyone who thinks he is an angellll

What is the biggest red flag a contestant can drop during the pod stage?

When you’re watching the pod dates, what is the one comment or reveal that instantly makes you think, "Nope, run for the hills"?

Ciara is the most unbearable character on TV ever

Never came across a woman as despicable as this. Total psychopath. I’m just on the episode where that guy started to be really vulnerable opening up about his finances and she seemed totally annoyed by that. Asking if he had any regrets right after you can see she’s trying to get him to say something about his decision to leave his job.

The fake tears when he talks about his friend who passed. The way she just does not have the ability to connect and truly listen.

Don’t even get me started on the way she LOVES to create tension and drama between other couples, Faye and Jack. She was extremely bitter he had told her he’d picked Faye and obviously thrives off the drama.

The whole “you’re beautiful know your worth” bullshit too right after in front of all of the girls. Some BUUUUUULLSHIT. She was so mad and can’t internalize the hurt and the anger and chooses to blame him and calls him disingenuous. Literally what a dangerous disgusting person.

Ciara is a shit stirrer.

Omg am on episode 6 and I can't stand Ciara, she is so false and can't keep her nose out of other people's business. Anything to shit stir. I feel so sorry for poor AJ he deserves someone who supports him wholeheartedly. She listing what house she wants, want she expects him to provide. Nothing about the 2 of them joining together to work for their common goals like a normal couple. He has to provide and she will spend her money on herself. Even the way she talks seems fake and forced. She is so far up her own arse. Is it just me.

Ryan and cuba

I think it's unbelievably unfair to have someone on the show who can't commit to being present for the duration. I understand the family emergency but Ryan disappearing around the world for work leaving cuba alone kind of defeats the purpose of the experiment. I think cubas Experience was ruined because of this, waiting at home alone while.the other couples get to spend the time together.

Everyone is attractive this season

LOVE IS BLIND WHERE? The casting crew picked a group of good looking men and women and threw them in the pods and every reveal was smooth sailing because it was handsome guy + meets handsome girl = wow chemistry!

As a viewer they’re all easy on the eyes so it’s fun to watch them and see them interact but it completely fails the idea of whether love is blind. No overweight person in sight, no below average person in sight.

Green Flag

What a sweet and kind (and hoooooot) guy Ajay is. So self aware and soft and strong at the same time.
I envy Ciara. I hope she doesn't break his heart.

Cuba and Ryan a bit...simple

Just watched episode 4...First of all Ryan is very against the educational system and thinks you learn more at home, yet thinks the fact some hens were played certain music is why the yolks are so orange when everyone knows that the farmers feed them feed high in carotenoidss to do that. Also Cuba stating she wants their kids to have a choice when they get "consciousness" at about 7 or 8 sent me 😆 Seriously if being spiritually awake makes you this clueless..

They need to find a crystal for intelligence like...NOW

My fave couple by far and the only one I’m really invested in…

>!FRANCESCA AND JOSEPH!<

I adore their energy together!! I think they bring out such a fun side to each other and seem to not take life too seriously but still have serious conversations when needed. >!Joseph!< cracks me UP with his reactions to everything, and >!Francesca!< is so smiley that even when she isn’t smiling she still looks like she is smiling?! They are the only couple that I am hoping say yes on the big day (except maybe >!Taylor and Sophie!< too?)

Also shoutout to Francesca and Cuba!! I love all the friendships on this show but they really look like besties, esp in their matching outfits🥹🥹

TWO THINGS CAN BE TRUE AT ONCE: Jack vs. Ciara situation Ep 1-5

Jack clearly has ADHD (self-proclaimed) and only hears the headlines. And so, when Ciara said that he was in her top people, he unitentionally heard that they were each others top ones. I think that was a genuine mistake. However, Ciara is right when she said that he likes to stretch the truth. He could tell that she was going to break it up, and he indeed broke it off because he couldn't get rejected first. The whole back and forth was awkward and you could tell he felt some sort of pleasure telling her that date was boring.

In all, neither deserve the people they're with.
