Sort of spoiler…..don’t read if you haven’t watched at least halfway through.

I’m so bored of people going on dating shows clearly intending to turn it into a reality TV/influencer career. It’s so fucking obvious now. Maybe you could get away with it in the early days, but we’ve all seen this playbook a thousand times. And it’s even worse when you’re stringing along someone who is genuinely there to find love.
Ryan, you absolute cock. We’re bored. Get a new plan. Bye.

My RHOBH rewatch is making me question my entire worldview

I’m on a rewatch and I’m on S3E7 and I genuinely don’t know what to think anymore 😭 Is it my memory or what??
I LOVED LVP. Like why did I love her this much?? 😂 She is funny, I’ll give her that, but watching it back I’m like… she’s actually not very nice to people?? And why did I remember her and Kyle having this amazing friendship when they really didn’t?? Kyle is just Kyle. She’s not particularly interesting, she’s bitchy, and yet somehow I had this whole “Kyle and LVP were so close until Kyle turned on her” thing in my head.

And don’t get me wrong, I STILL think everyone was shitty for the way they turned on LVP in that season (I can’t even remember which season now lol) and I will defend her on that forever. But watching the earlier seasons back, I’m starting to realise that apart from being funny and entertaining, LVP is… not actually that nice?? How did I miss this the first time?!

Camille has also had the BEST PR turnaround after S1. Like she really went away, studied the Housewives handbook and came back 😂

And I know Brandi becomes a complete nightmare later, but honestly in these early seasons I think Brandi and Kim are the only ones who feel remotely real. They’re both obviously problematic and I KNOW they do some awful shit later, but at least I believe what I’m watching with them.

And don’t even get me started on Yolanda. She is a c*nt. I’ve always disliked her but watching this again is reminding me WHY. 😂

I actually liked Adrienne for a while too because her and Paul were hilarious, but she’s mean as well.

So basically I’m three seasons in and I no longer know who I like. 😂 My entire original assessment of these women is falling apart. Brandi and Kim are somehow the only ones I’m rooting for, despite knowing full well that they’re both going to do some terrible shit.

Rewatching this show as an adult is a completely different experience lol.

For the LVP doubters, S2 E11 👀

Whatever you think of Lisa or Taylor, I genuinely don’t get how people watch this scene and miss what Lisa is actually saying.
Everyone else is questioning whether Taylor can be believed because of her behaviour, inconsistencies etc. Lisa is basically saying: we’re not best friends, but if you’re telling me this is happening, I believe you. And if you and your daughter need somewhere to go, I’m there.
She wasn’t saying she loved Taylor or agreed with everything she did. She was saying I don’t have to like you to believe you when you say you’re being abused.
And honestly, in this scene, she’s the only one who seems to get that, even when Taylor tried to push the narrative towards the other women bitching about LVP.

EDIT: to add literally Taylor is bitching about LVP while she is the only one really having her back. It’s so tragic. 😭

EDIT 2: for the reason that I feel for Taylor- Im not judging her at all… it’s more that I think LVP kind of realised the truth and put it out there when the others didnt.

Priya called out something that may be true…

When Julia and Priya were arguing for what felt like the hundredth time, Julia said something along the lines of, “you’re playing the game by bringing up past seasons,” and so on. At one point, Priya replied that Julia was just repeating things she’d heard the public say. Basically, Priya’s point was that Julia was also playing the game by leaning into what she thought was the popular opinion.

Then, cut to the podcast show later. When Julia and Lorenzo chose Jas and Kav as the couple most likely to break up because someone would cheat, Julia said she thought Jas would be the one to cheat because of the whole “affair with Lorenzo.”

But as far as I’m aware, nobody in the villa genuinely believed Jas and Lorenzo were having an affair…or that it was anything more than banter with a bit of flirtiness at times. That idea only came up because it was mentioned as a public opinion during one of the games.

That’s just one example but doesn’t that kind of make Priya’s point? Julia seems just as aware of public perception, and just as willing to use it in the game, as she’s accusing Priya and Aiden of being.

I need to hear your thoughts on Martha.

I actually liked Martha when she was in Casa. I loved how she stood up for the Casa girls and even backed the OG girls during Movie Night.
But she’s really gone down in my estimation since Aiden coupled up with Priya. I completely understand why she was upset. It can’t be easy in there when someone picks you and then moves on. That said, we hadn’t really seen much between Martha and Aiden since Casa, whereas he’d seem to be spending more time talking to Priya.
The jury’s still out on whether Aiden is genuine (I’m leaning towards no), but I really didn’t like Martha storming up to the terrace and saying, “I can do whatever I want,” when Lorenzo was trying to get her to leave them to chat. I actually felt so bad for Priya because she was finally getting some action. 😂
Then in the challenge she came across as quite bratty and immature to me, which surprised me because I hadn’t felt that way before.
Compare that to Charlene. She was hurt too, but she spoke to Kav, told him exactly why she was upset, and handled it with a lot of maturity and grace.
I don’t think Martha’s a bad person at all, and I can understand why her emotions were high. I just have a bit of the ick from the last couple of episodes and can’t see her spoken about so much on here.

To whoever recommended ‘Who Killed Emma’…

THANK YOU for this recommendation. It was one of the best investigative podcasts I’ve ever listened to.

The reporting is thorough, respectful, and genuinely gripping without ever losing sight of the fact that this was a real person and a real tragedy. It’s also fascinating to see the impact the podcast had on the case itself.

Highly recommended.

When did “you shouldn’t care about that” become skincare advice?

Has anyone else noticed a trend where skincare questions are increasingly answered with “you shouldn’t care about that”?

I completely understand that not every wrinkle, line, sun spot, scar, or age-related change matters to everyone. We all have different priorities…

What puzzles me is when someone asks, “How can I improve *this*?” and instead of answering the question, people respond with some variation of, “Why would you care about *this*?” Or be condescending and judgy to people who try to answer the original question.

Those feel like two different conversations.

This is a skincare subreddit. People regularly discuss wrinkles, pigmentation, texture, sagging, Botox, lasers, retinoids, and all sorts of cosmetic concerns….Not everyone will care about every issue, and that’s perfectly fine. But if someone else does, is it really helpful to tell them they shouldn’t???

The reason I’m bringing it up is that v. recently a perfectly reasonable skincare question get flooded with responses questioning why the person cared in the first place. The post has since been deleted. Maybe that’s unrelated, but it did make me wonder whether we’re sometimes creating an environment where people feel judged for asking certain questions rather than helped.

To be clear, I'm not talking about people offering reassurance. There's nothing wrong with saying, "I wouldn't worry about that" or "I think you're being too hard on yourself."

What I've noticed is a different tone… not reassuring someone, but acting as though the concern itself is ridiculous and the person is somehow wrong for caring about it.

Those feel like very different responses, and I wonder if we're sometimes crossing the line from being supportive to being dismissive.
