Basement green house

Any advice on how to keep them alive or how to grow them properly? 😂 Is it realistic for me to think I can actually grow something here, or am I just being delusional? 😂

My friend with epilepsy has been using a symptom tracker my family helped build — sharing in case it helps anyone here

Hi all — quick disclosure up front: my husband and I are behind a free app called PatternMD, so take my enthusiasm with that grain of salt. I’m not here to sell anything (it’s free, no ads, anonymous).

The reason I’m posting: a close friend of mine with epilepsy started using it, and watching it actually help her is what made me want to share here. She logs her symptoms and possible triggers in seconds — sleep, stress, missed meals — and over time the app surfaces patterns she hadn’t connected before. She can keep everything private, and she exports her logs as a PDF to bring to her neurologist, which she says has made those appointments way more productive.

I know this community knows tracking better than anyone, so if you check it out, I’d honestly love the feedback — good or brutal. And if the mods prefer I not post this here, I understand completely.

Not medical advice — just a tracking tool alongside your care team.

One of the best sandwiches you will ever have I call it Ara chimi

This may look weird but OMG this was so good so this is like a Dominican chimi but my way of doing it and with an extra ingredient. So first things first, cut 4 chicken breasts into thin slices boil it and shred it. Please leave it in the pan until water evaporates, add ketchup, a chicken cube, salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste with a little adobo that's optional. Once that is done, turn off the pan and shred cabbage onions and tomatoes into a separate bowl and add checkup mayo, salt and pepper and mix it well. Heat up some bread and start adding the chicken to your dread then the cabbage mix and please never forget a little more ketchup and some garlic aoli sauce on top. Let me know if you did it and what do you think?

Repurposing a Room Into Our Home Office on a budget

Before and after pictures of our little workspace for my husband and me to build our app. ❤️

If it looks cheap, it's because it is—and that's okay. We made the best of what we have, and we're proud of it. Every big dream starts somewhere, and this little setup is where we're putting in the work, one day at a time.

It may not be perfect, but it's ours. 🖥️✨

I Love making a mess with my food

White rice, beans, and a big fried plantain topped with juicy beef steak, sautéed onions, peppers, fresh parsley, and cilantro, all seasoned with lime juice, salt, and black pepper. I finished it off with a creamy ketchup-mayo sauce, crispy fried cheese, and small pieces of salami.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but don't judge a meal by how it looks. It may look like a mess, but it was absolutely delicious!

Before and after kitchen remodel on a budget. What do you think?

Transforming an old kitchen is definitely a slow process, but we're getting there! So far, we've painted the cabinets, spray-painted the island, and sealed everything with polycrylic. Adding a small center island, new hinges, knobs, handles, and some peel-and-stick tiles is already making a massive difference. It's still a work in progress, but the vision is coming together!
