Last Tuesday’s game night practicing Alpha Strike Open game in Dark Age. Grand Rapids will be hosting an ASO tournament in early October, Dark Age. Practice now! Details coming in the soon.

We play Tuesday nights the west side of GR. Come join us, we are willing to teach anyone ASO or BattleTech that is interested. Even if you have nothing to start with.

Some early random shot from AS350 singles yesterday. 27 players, everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun!

I’ll post more pictures later. GenCon has so far been a lot of fun. Doubles today and masters and minions tonight.

Last night the two teams play tested a proposed change for AS350 doubles objectives where King of The Hill and Hold The Line are paired together. This combination forced the armies to divide if they wanted to concur. Some units had to defend the back line, while others pushed the center, and simultaneously a 3rd group need to be striking the enemies back line.

It was fun to see the whole board in use for the full game and the three battles happening at once. The pink/blue/purple team ended up winning the day.

We played the new Hot Drop AS350 mission last night on the west side of Grand Rapids.

SRM started out by blocking a corridor for the Gladiator. The Gladiator moved in and blocked the same corridor against the Mad Cat and Sphinx. The game was pretty well decided by the end of turn two with the tan army taking the win.

8 Box Studio's Recon Terrain Canyons and Pine Trees are now in TTS!

We worked with Phil and Zach to provide a wide range of hill and tree types. Our detailed hills were used to create the textures on simpler shapes for performance. While there are some limitations of TTS, we hope you enjoy the new terrain. These are now part of the mod so you don’t need to download anything extra.

If you use these new assets, make sure to lock (L button) the terrain so the proper collision can be used.

Search 8 box Studio or Recon Terrain to see what then real ones look like.

Game night in Grand Rapids game 1. All terrain is painted Recon Terrain.

Play testing AS350 with alternate objective mission. Yellow team tested feasibility of only using 8” moves. This mission includes corner deployment which seemed to allow the 8 inch movers to be in the game faster than normal. We also were testing the river impact to the mission. What was cool is the actual need to use the bridges.

Tuesday night Alpha strike in Grand Rapids, MI. All terrain is Recon Terrain designed by 8 Box Studio, check them out several options.

Game 1: Playing AS350 testing a proposed new mission designed and by the group in GR. Close game with most objective points being denied ending with a score of 1-0.

Turn one 4 fast units were taken out. The last hover vehicle was destroyed turn two leaving the mechs and one tank to continue handing out destruction. Game ended with one unit a piece left on each side.

Seems like the best way to paint containers is a ton at a time!

We had two tables going last night. One was a desert canyon with a short river. The other was an unfortunate farm that had large mechs battle through it.

The river forced a Kodiak II to jump over it, this was the first time I have ever seen a Kodiak jump! We also seen the return of the Winnebago sky devil also known as Eagle 1. Game was complete destruction of one force.

The pictures of the farm is a collection of three different games. So many mechs and vehicles were left on that farm.

Some action shots of this week’s Tuesday night Alpha strike. We had two tables last night, one practicing for MCM and the other trialing some new mission ideas we will propose to Wolfnet. Both tables utilized Recon Terrain and objectives.

The way the sun was setting created some awesome shadows on the containers table.
