Suggestions for Supportive Underwear

2 years ago at 24, only one simple epididymal cyst was detected on R side and only L sided Grade 1 varicocele was detected. Was advised tight underwear and avoid lifting but didn’t really care as there was no discomfort.

Cut to last month had some continuous discomfort for a few days (used to have some intermittent discomfort previously but nothing that altered my quality of life). Now 26, on USG B/L grade 2 varicocele diagnosed on USG Scrotum + 2x simple epididymal cysts on R side.

Doctor suggested microscopic varicocelectomy + cyst excision on the R side first because it was more in size.

Now 5 days post op, the swelling has gone down but feel a thick cord like and non tender epididymis and some mild discomfort. Doctor said it will go away with time.

Suggested supportive underwear and avoid lifting. Please looking for some suggestions. And when should I get the other side?

List of Faculties that helped me score 224.

First off, it absolutely is possible to score well in FMGE. The right approach and right guidance will help you achieve it. This is a basic framework I followed to score 224 in Jan 2026 and have been suggesting based on trial and error for FMGE aspirants.

Anatomy - Dr. Azam (Prep) well explained and calm > Dr. Shrikant Verma (Cerebellum) fun with good mnemonic and a lot of pointless references and jokes, high yield tho

Physiology - Dr. KK (Marrow) > Dr. Soumen (Prep) slow and slightly tough accent but covers most of it > Dr. Pooja (Cerebellum)good yield but explains very less in comparison. If you have 8-10 months, try to finish the main videos as its really important for Medicine later.

Biochem - Dr. Ankur (Cerebellum) >> lovely way of teaching and good notes. Great personality overall

Pathology- Dr. Preeti hands down for FMGE (Resolve > RR) main videos if 10-12 months

Pharma : Dr. GRG >>> again main videos if you have 10-12 months

Micro : Dr Preeti again (Resolve > RR)

ENT : Dr. Rajiv Dhawan (DocT/Arise) really great way of teaching + love the motivation > Dr. Praneeth (Cerebellum) very high yield

Ophtha: Dr. Manish (Prep Resolve) >> I have tried a lot of teachers, found him the best

FMT : Dr. Magendran (WOR Marrow) the best > Dr. Atul Gupta (Cerebellum) good yield from notes

PSM : Dr. Vivek Jain(Cerebellum) great notes but really difficult E&D. Also very voluminous notes / Dr. Neha (Prep) really well explained and calm approach but slightly less content imo

Dermat : Dr. Pallavi (DocT) >> lovely notes and good teaching

Ortho: Dr. Abbas Ali (WoR Marrow) no competition here

Radio : Dr. Zainab (BTR/Mission 200+) no words here

Anesthesia : Dr. Jhanvi (Cerebellum) great notes, funny teaching practice

Psych : Dr. Praveen (Cerebellum) impeccable notes 10/10

Now the big 4, if you have the time do the main videos atleast for Obg and Surgery then Pedia

Pedia: Dr Aditya (DBMCI) the best out there >> Dr. Singaram (Marrow WoR), but Dr. Anand Bhatia’s notes from Cerebellum are really high yield, all questions come from them mostly but I don’t like his teaching honestly no offence.

Surgery: hands down Dr. Amrit (Cerebellum) best faculty

Obg: Dr Sakshi (WoR) or Dr. Raina (Cerebellum) your call. Both high yield and great notes. I prefer Dr. Raina having studied from both.

Medicine: The never ending subject, but we still gotta work for it.

here
a) if your pharma/patho/physio is good, Dr. Dilip (Cerebellum) any day. Will take some time to adjust but its worth it.

b) if your pharma/patho/physio is average, Dr. Marwah. I found him monotonous tbh when I studied from him in university days

c) if your pharma/patho/physio is weak, Dr. Priyansh. Great to understand the basics, but again too little information according to me. Great teacher tho

This is what I have compiled till now with multiple inputs from all over and my personal experience. For FMGE, this is as good as it gets. Anymore doubts and help required, hmu! At the end of the day, almost all sources are 95% same its just what suits you the best and how much can you revise. Go over to YT, watch short videos and choose whats best for you. And stick to it for sure. No need for any FOMO.

All the best
