I had openreach install fibre broadband to my house 2 years ago. I only got the basic package from BT of 50mbps. Now my deal is ending I have the option to increase the speed paying less than I pay now. I've spoken on a couple of live chats to the bt folk, the first said I didnt have fibre(so how to check for certain?), the 2nd advisor says I do. They also said if I go to 150mbps or higher, an engineer will need to visit. For what reason?
