I've been investing for a while but I've never redeemed any units before. I had LTCG approaching gains of nearly 1.25 lakh, so thought I'd redeem it and see. The issue is that my name is different on different documents. Once I placed the redemption order on Groww, I got an email which mentioned that transaction might fail if there is a name mismatch between the bank account holder name and name with AMC. I'll give an example of how my name appears in different documents:

Aadhar Card - Rohit P

Bank Account - Rohit P

PAN Card - Rohit Pai

Groww Account - Rohit Pai

My Aadhar and PAN are both linked. And both of those are linked to my bank account as well.

What are the chances the redemption will fail?

(Risk Profile - Aggressive)

There can be a maximum of 21 ministers. The split will probably be as follows:

• Congress - 11
• IUML - 5
• Kerala Congress - 2
• RSP - 1
• Kerala Congress (Jacob) - 1
• RMP/CMP - 1

I think the ministers from the smaller alliance partners will be:

• Kerala Congress - Apu John Joseph, Mons Joseph
• RSP - Shibu Baby John
• Kerala Congress (Jacob) - Anoop Jacob

Unless Congress gives away one of their ministries (extremely unlikely), only one of RMP or CMP can have a minister. I think CP John of CMP is likely to become the minister and KK Rema will probably become the speaker. Or maybe there will be a power sharing arrangement of 2.5 years for one party and 2.5 years for the other

That leaves Congress and IUML

From IUML, PK Kunhalikutty and KM Shaji will probably be two. They will probably give at least a minister each to Kasargod and Kozhikode - I think AKM Ashraf from the former and PK Firos from the latter, or maybe Fathima Thahiliya if they want to portray themselves as more progressive than earlier. 5th minister might be Manjalamkuzhi Ali or PK Navas.

That leaves congress. Only one confirmed so far is VD Satheesan. If Chennithala refuses to serve under Satheesan, then that opens up one slot. They will probably try to balance religions, regions etc in the ministry. So these are the people I think will become Congress ministers:

• K Muraleedharan - Trivandrum
• Bindu Krishna - Kollam
• PC Vishnunadh - Kollam
• Shanimol Usman - Alappuzha (only if RC stays away from the ministry)
• Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan - Kottayam
• Chandy Oommen - Kottayam
• AP Anil Kumar - Malappuram
• VT Balram - Palakkad
• T Siddique - Wayanad
• Sunny Joseph - Kannur

After Mohan Charan Majhi became the Chief Minister of Odisha in 2024, Keralam was the only state that had never had a Chief Minister born after Indian independence.

VD Satheesan will soon be sworn in as the first Chief Minister of Keralam to be born after independence.
