my travel was like jaipur - delhi - aut - sainj - shangarh
took an afternoon bus from jpr reached delhi at night then took another overnight bus till aut from there u can get local buses for ₹50 till sainj and from there sharing cab till shangarh
stayed in hostel costing around ₹600/night
did 4 nights and total cost came to be around 10k
i’m the one holding the j & ofc i rolled a pink one 😁
had a 4 day gap before my last semester exam, i thought why not? 😆
total cost (including lil bit shopping i did for my parents) 7k which was 2 nights 3 days
stayed in hostel, main expense was the desert experience, but it’s sooo worth it. travel from and to jaipur in overnight buses. also went in completely off season so it felt like i had the whole city to myself
they call it the golden city, and it really is golden. everything was built with yellow sandstone, the architecture is absolutely stunning
it’s a small city can cover everything in around 3 days unless you want to explore india-pak border areas (which i didn’t)
i want to rant a bit now (ignore if you want): i’m a mountain person and as someone from northeast, i absolutely love nature. i love trees and greenery. but when i was in the desert, i was in absolute awe. theres a whole ecosystem working here as well and the desert is so huge you feel so insignificant, in a good way if that makes sense. thanks jaisalmer for making me appreciate another form of nature that i otherwise wouldn’t have <3
