Bongzilla - Weedsconsin

Amazing stoner/sludge/doom metal, very good. I have a few more by bongzilla as well, when I originally got this record I got the standard version ( after listening I instantly hunted down the deluxe edition) and I regret nothing.

very great breakdowns they do throughout the music as well some of my favorite moments in my opinion 🙏

Regardless you can’t disregard that zombie like voice from Mike Makela

Overall amazing metal

is there a cleaner center label, than the blue note center label ?

More of a discussion I’d thought I’d post.

I genuinely think blue note center label’s are some of the cleanest when talking about jazz labels

It’s simple and is extremely classic.

( I will admit the Columbia center label is pretty clean too )

what label’s, center label is your favorite ?

Feast your eyes ( record collection ^ shelf )

record collection ( top shelf )

I love this record shelf with my whole heart, such amazing albums and I love each and every one of them in their own unique way.

Which one would you choose and which album would you add ?

( excuse the stooges records it’s simply to keep the gatefolds upright )

Wayne shorter - schizophrenia

what more can be said.. I feel.. schizophrenic.

In all seriousness if you haven't already heard this album and you're looking to jazzor just into Wayne shorter In general, l'd recommend this album over and over again. this is where I started and is an absolute masterclass in jazz, not to mention one of personal favorites wydn discussing Wayne shorter discography.

I'm a huge Wayne shorter fan, from his first album to his work with weather report. Still this album to me,
Is what mostly started it all.

Features an amazing lineup as well, Herbie Hancock, Curtis fuller, James Spaulding, Ron Carter & Joe chambers.

could describe the music to you.. but that would take away from you wandering off and experiencing this pure masterpiece for yourself..

Overall an amazing record, and an amazing quality
re-issue put out by blue note.

Blue Mitchell - Blue’s moods

Amazing record from top to bottom.

I’m a huge fan of blue Mitchell, he’s personally one of my favorites. I also try to grab these “original jazz classics” from craft recordings up while I can, I have a few other copies ( same label/series ) and I gotta admit they are amazing quality 180g and beautiful sounding records.

Anyways, beautiful record, quality press and much craftsmanship (😂) put in by the label 🙏

Wayne shorter - second Genesis

Amazing album by Wayne shorter, who I cannot give enough praise to 🙏

This album is a masterclass jazz record (imo)
and imo an overall slept on one in Wayne shorter discography that doesn't get talked about enough.

Also features an amazing line up as well

Overall a beautiful put together record.. then again
It's Wayne shorter.

Soul Media - memory lane 2025 Nipponophone Japanese re-issue

Amazing japanese jazz, soul and funk album
( I also feel there’s a bit of a city pop feel, which I love )

overall love soul media and what they did with Jiro inagaki on this album ( produced by Jiro inagaki himself )
mostly just for the smoothness this album brings to the table, also some amazing funk moments to this record

Overall an amazing Japanese re-issue

Charles kynard - Afro-Disiac

Amazing record from top to bottom, amazing jazz and fantastic organ. With the addition of this one,
it completes his discography for me.
since I own all his other albums on cd (Japanese re-issue)
I thought it would be perfect to get this record.
It also pairs well sitting next to my
Bernard Purdie “purdie good” record. 😂🙏
