SIBO after COVID

I developed small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) more than a year ago after contracting COVID-19. I had severe COVID-19 symptoms, and shortly after, SIBO symptoms began. Initially, I didn't know what was happening to me, experiencing things like constipation, gas, bloating, fatigue, and insomnia, until I took a breath test, which came back positive. I've been on antibiotics four times in the past year, experiencing good improvement followed by relapses. I'm in a bad situation now and feel frustrated. I have severe digestive symptoms along with psychological ones. I feel like I've reached a dead end. Also, there aren't any doctors in my area who understand this condition well.

Black coffee and gout

Does anyone else experience gout flare-ups from black coffee? This is very strange. Coffee has always triggered my gout, and even after taking medication, it still does. I can drink and eat anything else I want, and nothing else seems to make my condition worse than black coffee. I'm very confused because I've read studies that say the opposite, and I enjoy drinking it, but it seems to be getting more difficult.

Generalized anxiety disorder medications

Hello everyone, I'm a 32-year-old man suffering from generalized anxiety, depression, and ADHD. My body is sensitive to medication, and I've tried many. Some were somewhat effective, but I also experienced side effects like weight gain, lethargy, and many others. I wonder why there aren't any new medications for generalized anxiety. The last one was approved 22 years ago, which is frustrating. So many people have anxiety disorders; in fact, anxiety disorders are the most common mental disorders worldwide, and I believe that number will double in the coming years. I feel disappointed; psychiatry is very slow to develop.

Dietary supplements are just nonsense.

My advice: if you've been diagnosed with gout, don't waste your money and time on supplements. I wasted so much effort for nothing. If you're hesitant about medication, try a diet and reducing your gout triggers. Then, have your uric acid levels checked again. If they haven't decreased, then it's best to take medication.

Night sweats and palpitations after COVID-19

Immediately after Corona, I believe it caused a malfunction in the vagus nerve and the autonomic nervous system, and caused me a wide range of symptoms. The worst symptoms are excessive sweating, night sweats, palpitations, insomnia, anxiety, breathing problems, bloating, constipation, slow digestion, and extreme fatigue. The symptoms may vary from person to person, but I want to know if these symptoms occur in you in post-COVID syndrome, especially severe infections?

Vagus nerve dysfunction after COVID-19

I contracted COVID-19 a year ago, and since then, I haven't been the same. Initially, I didn't know what was happening to me. I had strange symptoms: bad breath, constipation, excessive sweating, shortness of breath, bloating, palpitations, insomnia, anxiety, fatigue, and intolerance to cold. I felt like my digestive system was completely shutting down, among many other symptoms. Artificial intelligence and Reddit helped me figure out that these were symptoms of vagus nerve and autonomic nervous system involvement. They also mentioned the possibility of bacterial overgrowth, so I got tested, and the result was positive. I used antibiotics, but there was no significant improvement, only a slight improvement, and then the symptoms returned. I suspect the underlying problem might be vagus nerve involvement. In any case, now my body and mind are exhausted, and I feel extremely fatigued. I can't even do the simplest things. I'm fed up and feel helpless.
