Not advertising, just need an honest opinion.
Hi everyone. I know this is a MyNetDiary community, but as a fellow nutrition tracker, I wanted to share a side project I built and get some genuine feedback from experienced users.
Many popular tracking tools lock basic daily features like barcode scanning behind monthly subscriptions. To offer an accessible alternative, I built a similar app (won't name it because of advertising rules). The app is literally free to use forever, supported by non-intrusive ads, with all core features unlocked from day one. That includes barcode scanning, regional grocery database support, packaging OCR label reading, AI photo meal logging, water tracking, and step counting.
Since MyNetDiary users really value clean tracking and accurate logging, I would love to hear your thoughts on a couple of things. How do you feel about ad-supported models versus subscription paywalls for daily tools like barcode scanning?
