NBD for me! Commencal Meta HT/AM! Some Good and Bad...

I traded my full suspension for this hardtail (+cash), and I'm pretty stoked about it! I've wanted a Commencal for a while, but always ended up going different routes, so this is a great addition for me.

Good: The cockpit has quality parts, I like this particular fork a lot, and the frame is exactly what I wanted.

Bad: The brakes and drivetrain were very entry level/budget. Not knocking it, but it was a little below what I would want personally. Working on a small budget, I have a crankset and brakes on the way, and I'm buying drivetrain stuff from someone locally this week (I hope).

Can't wait to get this out on the trails!

Looking for a work around, if possible...

I have a 2021 Nissan Rogue S (AWD) and finally put a hitch and platform bike rack on it this weekend (hitch a few weeks ago). When I reverse, the sensor detects the rack and triggers auto-stop, and the brakes grind to a halt every couple of feet. I know I can disable this in the driver settings, but annoyingly, it auto-resets every time the vehicle is restarted. This is an issue since I plan to leave this on the car 95% of the time, only taking it off if I have to for some reason.

Is there a work around where I can make it keep the reverse driver braking assist off all the time? Alternatively, has anyone tried disconnecting the sensor itself, and if so, what are the side effects? I assume it would potentially cause the system to freak out a bit and possibly cause issues with things like cruise control (which I don't use anyway), or maybe other sensors.

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!
