m28 - dating in 2026 (at least to me) feels impossible. why?
to start off, this is my first reddit post EVER so bare with me but:
i'm a guy who's been absolutely struggling to find a genuine connection in the dating scene. i've been single for about a year now, but most of my relationships don't go past that. i'd like to think of myself as a "hopeless romantic", but I feel like my looks don't really give off that image since I'm a 6'2 alternative blerd with tattoos and piercings, built like a teddy bear the size of a club bouncer but I swear I'm the kindest, chillest dude you'd ever meet lol. i'm attempting dating apps, but I don't ever get matches/likes and i'm kind of a lone wolf since all my friends (gaming buds) live in different states so going out is just as bad b/c of my social anxiety of trying to socialize on my own. any tips/advice on how I can improve my search towards finding a genuine relationship?
