Urgent: Airbnb sealed due to drug dealing customers on the run. Police asking owner to meet in hotel room tomorrow morning for 'discussion'.

I have a couple friend who are in 30s. the guy runs and Air bnb in Bangalore in his own flat this is based out of South bangalore. No about 2 days back they had a customer stay there - a couple who as it as we found out later were drug smugglers on the run from Kerala. Apparently based on a tip by some informant the Kerala police and Karnataka police tried to nab this couple from the airbnb itself but due to the laxity of the Karnataka police the couple escaped. The Airbnb has been sealed. Yesterday my friend visited the Karnataka police station jurisdiction this area comes under. The sub inspector there asked my friend for a small bribe to get his flat unsealed. Started from 15k and finally settled at 4k.

Now just half an hour back at 12.30 am my friend got a call from one of the investigating officers from Kerala police this guy told my friend to come tomorrow for vestigation related discussion at some hotel and to meet him in a hotel room early in the morning. obviously this sounds shady af and i asked my friend to message back saying to meet with my friend on Karnataka police station premises. The officer hasn't responded so far.

I plan to accompany my friend and his wife tomorrow but looking for urgent guidance on what legal aspects and laws and rights we should be aware of tomorrow morning while meeting the kerala police officers.

P.s. neither the couple friends nor I are from Karnataka. Not sure if this has a bearing on how the police will treat us but putting it out there.

Selling Plot near Devanahalli- Century Greens

Hi all,

I might be moving out of India due to job soon so looking to sell my plot in century greens project. This is situated right next to Cambridge institute of technology North Campus on the main road and is barely a km away from STRR.

Plot size - 30x40

Facing- west

E khata + a khata

Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/VrqG2iWcJLDrKHwdA

No loan

We had bought the plot here as part of constructing a house in few years but plans have changed.

I liked it and bought it for following reasons -

  1. the project has no scope for expansion since surrounding land is either part of Cambridge institute of part of other projects - so that means the amenities will not get distributed among multiple phases of projects (which happens in a quite a few projects as builders get greedy)

  2. The ease of access to STRR. I avoided IVC road ( had initially selected manyata earth song) since you can see that once traffic picks up IVC road has difficult going towards airport road (s junction under a rail bridge) and towards strr (have to go through a 4 way junction where traffic can pile up)

  3. Because century has a track record of caring for its projects from a legal POV. In century sports village they compensated owners with plots in other projects. And have other stories as well. I mean sure they have their flaws too but atleast from a legal POV they take care of their customers which is a major thing in bangalore.

  4. It's not a very large or very small project. Around 250 odd plots. So thought it would be a good place to get to know neighbours and where my kid makes friends . Lol .

  5. The greenery.

Most projects from known builders in the area are 9k+ psft (there is an assets project right opposite which has been launched at 9.5k psft with possession in 2029, and there are couple of prestige projects which are further away from strr yet are priced around 10k psft) but I am looking at 8.5k to close it within next 2-3 months. Can negotiate slightly more if someone can close quickly. And no broker fees since it will be just us :)

Couldn't attach more videos since reddit isn't allowing me but have videos and pics of entire project which am happy to share.

Inputs needed- is this worth investing in ?

Hi all. An uncle forwarded the below message. Is it worth investing in (say 5-8 years holding period )?

Realistically speaking - is there any chance for normal middle class folks to buy plots in Bangalore ?

I (mid 30s) have been considering off late about buying a plot within Bangalore. The plan is to buy a decent sized plot (say 1500 sqft) for around ~1-1.2 cr, spend next decade paying it off and in my 40s construct a home that i can retire peacefully in, in my 60s.

But any plot that is even remotely close to a metro line (so that I can go to work once the house is ready) , even the last metro stations , are charging 13-15k psft. If they are within price range then they are B khata or have legal issues or other issues (found one close to the garbage yard in lingadareenahalli)

I guess in bangalore buying flats with all sorts of construction issues , is the only option left to us :/
