Thinking about getting on the NCL AQUA as a Solo Traveler

I am planning to go by myself, get a room with a balcony, and seriously just spend most of the day lounging in my balcony, watching the sea, cry, read book, watch a movie on my ipad...and then only going out to grab food as needed. Would this be a good cruise for me to go on?

Today is the day... Death Becomes Her plays Final Performance at 3pm ET.

I can't believe it's finally here. I haven't loved a show this much since Wicked. I've seen it twice, and today will be my third! For those of us who've seen this show, wanted to know what were some of your favorite memories from it?

EDIT: Just got home from seeing the show and WOW...it truly boggles my mind this show's closing within such a short time frame. Michelle got really emotional during the opening and needed a minute to compose herself...but mama could SING.

Jen, Chris delivered as per usual, and it was my first time seeing Betsy. Her Madeline Ashton is definitely different than Megan's, which brought a freshness for me. I really enjoyed the entire cast!

>!What do you want to do tomorrow: REST.!<

Also want to talk about some theater etiquette DRAMA. NOBODY likes an annoying loud gay. We were sat right behind this tall gay guy who had blonde curly hair and was wearing a sparkly shirt and heels, and his beautiful african american girl friend had a nice dress on. They. would. Not. Stop. Talking. through out the ENTIRE show. The tall gay guy would make the most obnoxious HOOTINGGGGG cheers and literally just doing way too much. His girl friend would also be adding little, "HM-HMM, I KNOW THAT'S RIGHT." "YUP" through out...

Long story short, Act 2 when Jen walks in saying the iconic: ">!that...was...rude"!<, the duo said the line out loud before she did. The guy in front of them finally had it, turned around and told them to stop. They proceeded to tell him it's not that serious, and it's the cast's last show and they're just having fun. The guy in front of them said, "i don't care, you're disrupting the show." And the girl got realllly sassy with him, I heard something like "take it outside" and "wait till the show's over"... Ultimately, triggered the guy to CLACK his fan that created a LOUD GUN SHOT sound. The older couple next to them physically jumped because of that.

Funny how the duo was talking about theater etiquette during intermission, and commenting on how people should be standing up for people to walk into the rows...i barely could hear them but...HOW IRONIC.

Black Swan @ A.R.T was AMAZING. Please accept my HUMBLE notes...

Saw it yesterday at 2pm and it BLEW. ME. AWAY.

I am an extremely harsh movie critic and Black Swan (2010) is currently one of the ten movies I've ever given 5/5 to. To be honest, I was fully expecting to be let down and disappointed but my gosh was I wrong!

The pros: AMAZING stage lighting and SO much live theater magic. I was SO impressed by some of the stunts the cast were doing, and it really shows how magical LIVE theater can be in Act 2. I really liked two of the songs, but most of them are pretty forgettable (needs lyric rewrites for sure). But the dancing, choreography is literally 10/10.

As someone who HATES shallow/performative wokeness, when I read the removal of the Thomas character, I did a major eye roll. However, the new character, Leroy, actually still worked and pushed the story forward perfectly fine. Amber Iman who plays the role is probably the BEST singer in the entire cast. One of her songs in Act 1 literally got me nodding and bopping along lol!

But anyways, here are MY HUMBLE NOTES, HOPING SOMEONE IN THE CAST CAN TAKE THESE to make the show PERFECT.

  1. Can we please somehow spin this ballet company to a dance company instead? The only ballet we ever saw was quite literally the opening, and the rest is just modern dance. STILL VERY IMPRESSIVE, but I feel like a line to shift it a little would kinda wrap up the loose ends.

  2. There needs to be ONE more scene with Nina and Leroy, and Nina needs to show WHY she deserves to be the swan queen. Make it where Nina took a risk, and showed Leroy she can be rought and dangerous. Currently, the jump from audition to gala feels EXTREMELY forced...like we skipped a scene or something.

  3. There needs to be a big drama/emotional scene with Nina and her mother. Nina literally needs to SNAP at her mom and literally have a DARKNESS to it. That will show us how Nina has completely morphed and changed.

  4. Last and final...after Nina notices she's stabbed herself...that song needs MAJOR work. It did not fit that scene at all... give us something POWERFUL, DESPAIRE AND INSANITY... it was very unmemorable and doesn't really communicate the total madness Nina has descended to.

BUT AGAIN...THESE ARE JUST MY HUMBLE, HUMBLE, HUMBLE notes that no one asked for. The show's already a solid 4/5...it just NEEEEEEDS a little more fine tuning and it'll be perfect. Hoping this gets transferred to Broadway. I will be cheering the entire production on!!!

Question for Americans who've shopped at LoveLuxury in London.

My husband and I are visiting London very soon, and I’m planning to either buy a Birkin or a Kelly from LoveLuxury. If you don’t know them, they’re pretty popular on TikTok/YouTube and specialize in pre-loved Hermès, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton.

Anyway, my question is this: I did a quick search on their website, and when I convert from Pounds to USD, the bags often end up being more expensive than what I’d pay here in the U.S. (even after tax). So I’m curious for those who’ve visited, are there bags they don’t list online that might actually make it worthwhile for someone who makes USD to shop there?

Any feedback helps! Thank you!
