Publix’s rule about the hair color only being up to three highlight streaks is OUTDATED

I’ve had FULL hair color of blue, purple, red, orange, and it doesn’t have to do with my quality of WORK at all !!!!! Today I found out the DM was emailing my bosses about my hair and they’re finally telling me to change it after working here since 2022. This is so stupid, what does my hair have to do with me filling out the ad sales -_- I’m so maddd and I want to do something about changing this old ass rule !! Or I just have to give in and WEAR A WIG tf and they can pay for my hair color change. I hate this, I’m ready to leave when my new jobs ready smh!!!!!!

Edit I’ve gotten hospitalized from working too hard as a stock clerk TWICE and developed Costochondritis for nothing, can’t even afford the groceries or to be independent….. I’m so upset

transfer request finally accepted after months but now i have a better job lined up in august/september, do i say anything ?

i’m a grocery clerk of four years, got full time last year, early february i put in a request to this publix near the one i currently work at because i visited my ex team leader that now works there and the assistant store manager introduced himself and heard about me, he wanted me to come to his store, i said yes because of soooooo many reasons(including sexual and verbal assault) but the main reason is i’ll get promoted faster and PEACE(overnight shifts) from my gossipy store. start of march i called my ex team leader for an update and he said i needed to wait until one of the employees got promoted so i can take her aisle, and the same week i got pulled into the managers office by MY store manager and grocery manager, told me that the other stores store manager never even heard about me and that there’s no space for me…. i felt so embarrassed. i suck up the fact ill have to deal with the shittiness of my work environment, get medicated, reapply for the local plumbing/pipefitting union from last year, and wait. i get called in april to put my transfer request in again because an employee got fired due to no call no shows and now my manager is ignoring their calls to accept the transfer until my store manager reminds him WEEKS later(it’s now second week of MAY), literally a week later i get a call that the employee got her job back ????? my store manager and my grocery manager are happy as hell im staying and im just done trying to escape. last week i get interviewed by the union AND I GOT THE JOBBBBB !!!!! when the school year starts is when i start because of classes, but oh boy, my manager calls me in the grocery office during today’s shift to tell me my names not popping up while he’s making the schedule(what am i supposed to do 😭), we call my ex team leader, he calls the assistant store manager that wanted me and he is pisssedddd. Turns out, we hear from my ex team leader that his current store manager from the other store knows NOTHING about what’s going on at his grocery department, there’s five FREE aisles and barely any employees so they all gangeverything together, he thought because the employee that got fired came back that they were fine(she works housewares). im choosing the plumbing job regardless of all this mess(i just have to wait and continue working at publix) i feel incredibly lost and done, personally it feels like my spirit broke off from reality because i can’t even identify one of a million emotions i’m feeling. any advice on how to mentally handle this or what next steps to take, any brainstorming can help!!!!! also if anything sounds confusing from my writing, im glad to answer any questions !!!!! thank you in advance!!
