It is not ironic, i think its quite the formula. The boring part is having to court women irl and find out she reasons horribly, makes poor decisions, not clean tidy , no personality (i cant initiate all convos, and if i dont, weird silence) etc although fine physically. I was minding my business like any other Kenyan, because I very much love minding my business.

Then a notification pops up that I dont qualify for the Safaricom Capture the Good Photography challenge. Wait, what? A guy who shoots for the love of it doesn't mett the "strict standards?" Mind you the rules are very clear.

No experience needed, smartphone users encouraged, there will be a masterclass to improve composition etc for the final judgement-facing round.

So what standards am I missing if there's so much leeway?

Are these the type of microfactors that run the country, and is this rigging in advance? For a reputable company, this is just eh. If things run like this, what's the point of running adverts (adverts are not cheap) on mainstream media just to send us "HOLD UP, NO ENTRY" emails ?

Yet when logging in to the portal, there's still slots for non major counties that were never applied for by photographers countrywide, meaning there's almost 20s of empty slots yet to be filled past deadline. Ama ni gatekeeping inaendelea chini ya maji? I mean, nothing adds up. Ive atached the sequence of currently open portal slots and rejection email.

Anyway, here are pics of my submission, as this amounts to nothing. At least I tried. Its mostly cuz I once had my gear stolen and loved the chance to upgrade what I have. Big oops.

Any photographer or anybody who engaged this challemnge? Speak up. Let's not be carried for a ride, not that i'm entitled but, a little honesty saves everyone a little time.
