How is this possible; Area not color marked.

Those are contiguous fields, all triangular and some are empty. Why?

(It isn't an Intel issue as it is shown likewise in the scanner (in-game) as well.

Can anyone care to explain me?

Algorithm Boon: Four Urban/Magipunk Spells for Exploring the Ruins.

Fellow Haze Dwellers,

I’ve been designing some homebrew content for a warforged warlock character in the Drakkenheim campaign I currently DM, who just discovered their patron is the entity known as The Algorithm.

I took inspiration from the old 2015 Modern Magic Unearthed Arcana and adapted some of its concepts to fit into the traditional 2014 rule set, moving from the digital/internet modern hacking concept to a more clockwork/constructs vibe, fitting for a ruined urban crawl.

Here is what is included:

  • Commune with City (5th-level Divination, Ritual): An urban counterpart to Commune with Nature: You tap into a sense of self-awareness forged by its history, culture, and legacy, thumping like a heartbeat beneath the streets...
  • Find Vehicle (2nd-level Transmutation): A clockwork counterpart to Find Steed: You walk forward and turn a corner, or peer past an obstruction, to find exactly the mundane, uncrewed vehicle you sought waiting abandoned... Turns an abandoned carriage or rowboat found in the streets into a self-driving clockwork machine.
  • Haywire (3rd-level Transmutation): An AoE disruption spell designed to absolutely mess with constructs. It forces them into a random malfunction.
  • Synchronicity (4th-level Enchantment): A long-lasting urban infiltration buff for sneaking past factions or monsters.

A quick note on balance: These spells have been extensively mathematically simulated for balance within the action economy, but they haven't hit the table for raw playtesting just yet. If you drop these into your game, just give your players a heads-up that a few tweaks might occur if need be!

I'd love to hear this community's feedback or stories about The Algorithm in your campaigns. Enjoy!

Hey community,

I’m happy to present the Luminist, an Artificer subclass centered on spell-optics: the craft of arcane lenses and mirrors. It uses glassblower's tools to produce the physical manipulation of light, heat, and magic.

The Inspiration & The Divergence This project was sparked by the Prismancer by u/jeraehwazdagaz. I loved the concept of a light-themed Artificer, but my vision shifted toward a more grounded, optical approach.

  • Rule Set: Designed specifically for the 2014 rule set, which I still use for my campaigns.
  • Thematic Focus: While the original design embraces a wide "rainbow" spectrum of damage (Acid, Poison, etc.) of the Prismatic Spray, the Luminist focuses strictly on the fantasy-physics of light—specializing in Radiant damage and Illusionary spells.
  • Balancing: I avoided over-relying on a single ability score. Instead, I used a variety of limiters to fit the Artificer's power curve—including Intelligence-based uses, half-proficiency scaling, and Short Rest recharges.

The goal is a high-damage/infiltrator that uses Vitreous Assemblies—like spectacles, spyglasses, and periscopes—to refract magic with surgical precision.

Without further ado, you can find the subclass here in the Homebrewery link.
