Any mods that allow you to set units to patrol a certain area?

For example - I'd love to set a unit to continuously explore just a certain area to keep an eye out for new barbarian encampments, or an incoming invading force from one of a few different potentially hostile neighbors.

I've searched everywhere and no luck, so I'm guessing it doesn't exist, but maybe I'm just thinking about this wrong and there's some other way to accomplish it.

Difficulty settings and why nobody should feel ashamed for not playing deity

I play this game an astonishing amount for how bad I am at it. It's my tonic against stress. It's been in the background of my life (off and on - but mostly on) since it came out. I've loved games like this since the 90s; Master of Orion was an obsession and then I happened to wind up randomly with a college roommate who loved Master of Orion II and we damn near mutually flunked out. (Master of Orion being basically Civ in space, for the uninitiated.)

I play Civ V with several saves going at once. I usually have a game going at one of the two top difficulty levels depending on what I wanted to try out. I'm most likely going to lose those ones. Badly. That's just how I try out ideas that sound kind of funny, my current one being Germany, raging barbarians, huge map, only one other civ. Fucking bring it. I'm not sure where this is headed but it's Deity and I'm curious. I'm just fucking up some barbarians for now.

My main save right now is Emperor, huge map, epic, Arabia, continents. The way my job is, there's a lot of hurry-up-and-wait, so It's engaging enough to get me through those wait periods where it wouldn't be productive to start a different project.

I also play on King or Prince all the time just because the game is still plenty fun that way and I can just relax and not overthink it. Also I suck bad enough that I'm more than capable of losing on King.

Questions from a new owner of a 2023 CX-5 Turbo

I had previously owned a 2017 Mazda3, which I really enjoyed driving, until circumstances forced me to get a large SUV for a while. Now that my kids are older and I can downsize a bit, the CX-5 seemed like a no-brainer, and I love it so far. Got a good deal on the Turbo, picked it up a few days ago. (I'll add a photo later; how have I not taken one yet?!)

This is a 2023 CX-5 Turbo, 33k miles, I think it's the standard package of options for the Turbo trim. It's got the HUD stuff and I've already used the SD card hack to get the navigation features, which is nice since it unlocks the speed limit graphic and some other stuff. I mostly use CarPlay but those features still work once you run the card thing.

I just have a few (probably newb-ish) questions...

  1. Is the control wheel thingy for the entertainment system usually pretty rigid/sticky? I find myself really having to put some pressure into hitting the buttons around the big wheel.
  2. Does anyone actually use the steering wheel shifter paddles for day-to-day driving?
  3. Thoughts on the Bose system and tuning/upgrading it? It's OK, especially with bass-heavy kinds of tracks. Not so great with rock/metal in my experience so far.

It's frog season and I've been rescuing them from my pool every night. They're so loud they literally hurt my ears as I'm trying to help them out of the pool. They make cool shockwaves though!
