Anything going on this Memorial Day weekend on Long Island? Looks like the weather is gonna be crappy :(

My husband and I are trying to get out of the house with our 4 month old because we’re going stir crazy being cooped up lately. Looking for something family friendly and easy to navigate with a baby. We’re in Nassau.

We were thinking about trying Sunken Meadow beach for a walk or something but the weather seems like it’s ruining those plans lol 🥲
Open to any ideas !

We currently have a Honda HR-V and it is way too small for even the 3 of us + baby gear. We have a 3 month old daughter and can barely fit her stroller in the trunk. Forget groceries, luggage, etc. once the stroller is in there.

The EV9 caught my eye because with the third row down the cargo space seems amazing. I keep thinking ahead to vacations, packing all the stuff babies/kids require, Costco runs, potentially driving friends around when she’s older, etc. We’re possibly one and done, but not 100% sure yet. We also have two dogs (one medium sized, one small), but we don’t travel with them super often.

I knew I wanted something larger, and after looking into hybrids and plug-in hybrids, I honestly feel like fully electric makes the most sense for us. I LOVE the look of the EV9 and the interior space seems incredible.

My hesitation is mainly the size. I commute into Queens, NY for work from Long Island and usually park on residential streets. I’m nervous about going from an HR-V to something this large. The biggest car I’ve owned before was a CR-V, which never felt huge to me, but the EV9 is obviously another level.
That said, a few of my coworkers drive large 3 row SUVs and make it work with parking

Am I being insane for considering getting an EV9 as a family of 3? Or does it actually make sense long term?

I really want to grab this car for my family but really only looking for a plug in hybrid version vs the standard hybrid
