I read the Inner Game of Tennis and applied it to the track and it kind of blew my mind

It turns out I had terrible mental game, over analyzed and over criticized everything and it impeded my riding. If you're overly analytical like me, you may find this book helpful

I wrote about it as well in analytical fashion lol -- https://substack.com/home/post/p-211661783

But I'm very curious if others have read this book or have thoughts about this. Does trusting your body to do the job come naturally to others?

[Question] screen turns black sometimes after a screen repair

After I recently had my screen replaced by a repair shop, sometimes the screen remains black when I press the power button.

However, if I press down near the top of the device or smack near the front camera a couple times, the screen will reappear. If I drop the phone onto a table face up a few times, this screen will turn back to black. I think this could be a loose connection.

I asked the repair person to fix it, and he gave me another screen; however, the issue is still there. Is my phone unrepairable due to a bad connection?

Good thumb brake recs

My biggest mental block right now is running wide as I try to push turn in later. I think having a thumb brake would help with the fear of not making the corner. Also when I draft close into a turn sometimes the rider in front sends it hard and also runs wide and I would like a safer way to correct when we are both at pace

What is a good thumb brake to install for a ninja 400? I would use a lightened rotor. do I need a double banjo? or just remove the foot rear pedal entirely and get a line that routes to handlebar?

what is the best way to measure?

Tips for open throttle cornering

I had a good time this weekend learning buttonwillow classic. But it really highlights my weakness. The bumps didn't really bother me too much. But I am challenged by these wide open throttle turns:

- Grapevine to bus stop

- Pacific to riverside

- The last curbing on the esses

I find it hard to have the commitment needed. I think partially because I do a lot of kart track training and ride smaller tracks like THill West, where there's not a lot of this stuff.

I am going to come back a lot to try to get over it. But I wonder if anyone else has had a similar learning experience.

On throttle, should you be able to reach max 55+ degree lean? Do you push harder than you normally would? Where's the risk here, can you lowside if you push too hard?

I ride a ninja 400
