So my cousin might be moving in with me, my spouse and my female dog that is fully house trained. My cousin is bringing her boy dog and she says that he’s very territorial and will pee on everything but she will keep him in her room all day so that it doesn’t pee on our furniture. I don’t think that’s fair to him bc we also don’t have a yard plus my dog will be very confused as to why he’s locked in a room all day while she can roam around but not be able to play with him, so I’m guessing she’ll bark at the door until he comes out.

My spouse and I would have a huge problem with a boy dog peeing everywhere including her bedroom because 1) the smell, 2) we rent and we’ll be charged a lot for cleaning, damage, replacement etc and 3) our furniture was imported from Europe and is very expensive.

I don’t want her to get rid of the dog because she loves him of course and I’m not a monster. What solutions are there for this type of behavior?

How the heck am I supposed to use progyny? When we called to enroll they told us we could only use it after we meet our family 6,000 deductible on our insurance. However, both my husband and I are very healthy other than having to do IVF due to azoospermia so how am I supposed to use progyny? I’ve heard great things about it, but this doesn’t seem accessible at all for us?
