What are your least GF tasting GF alternatives?

Currently pregnant and sick with HG and I have a real ick for the GF alternative taste you get in bread, crackers and pasta products...but I also need those products as I can't stomach anything else. So I guess I am asking which products any of you recommended for having the least of the GF taste and texture 😅 i am in NI if thats useful. My last pregnancy it got so bad I went back to gluten products because if my body attacks me like this anyway, what extra harm will gluten do right? Well it did ruin my iron and vitamin stores and gave me worse reflux etc... so trying to avoid that.

I am in the US on holiday and what fresh hell is this where they have no dedicated separare sections of aisles for gluten free foods in every supermarket I have been to. I have been to Fred Meyer, safeway and Trader Joe's and they all have gluten free goods distributed among the gluten products and unless you know exactly the product and brand you are looking for, its near impossible to shop without going crazy. How do people cope when they are new to this? Every other place I have lived has had dedicated aisles for gluten free or other common needs. At Trader Joe's a lovely store assistant took me through and showed me every single gf product they carry, which I appreciate, but why should this be necessary?!

For what its worth i know how supermarket psychology works, where the aim is to have you get lost and spend longer looking for essentials so you are more tempted by the things you see along the way and buy more. It this simply doesnt track for gf shopping because I won't be able to buy the other pasta or bread or cereal products with gluten anyway, so instead I am just incredibly angry at the ordeal shopping has become here.
