all AI companies are sitting on a super power. they have access to the latest and great at the absolute cutting edge frontier models, which are uncensored, unrestricted with no guardrails. they can do whatever they want, however they want, they can make tons of money off of stock market, they can formulate better strategies, they can play long game, they have access to all systems, they have tools to access or install back door, they can do things unimaginable, they can fortify their own software stack, they can find vulnerabilities in other software, they can see the weakness in opensource software and may be exploit or profit off of it

Delhi Metro Virtual Smart Card is unregulated and has lot of glitches and edge cases which are not handled.

1. For some reason you cannot exit with the same QR code you entered with. Even after 5 minutes if you try to exit from the next station, you must refresh the QR (pull down to refresh) before exiting, else the AFC gate will error out.
2. The Virtual Smart Card History page lies to you. It does not record all transactions. It will never tally if you try to sum up all the credits and debits. If you the app glitched out and did not record an exit, DMRC will deduct ₹40 or ₹50 depending on the time of entry/entries without letting the user know. This deduction will also not be recorded in the statement.
3. I was in chennai before and the CMRL app had the same infra as DMRC but worked way better. The virtual smart card will generate a QR code for a day, that will be saved in the gallery and can be used for the entire day, without having to refresh and/or fear of bad mobile network. Don't know why DMRC won't use the same QR and continue to push for refreshing the QR. Meanwhile the apps like PhonePe and WhatsApp bot can give a static QR valid for the entire journey.
4. DMRC has not worked out the cases of bad mobile internet connectivity at under ground station and over crowded stations. I always see a huge que of mobile app vsc users struggling to exit.
5. There is no customer service for VSC users and there is not regulatory entity overseeing its operations. DMRC has left it out as a bastard child and simply gulps the free money earned due to glitches. Try contacting customer care executives for this and they will always leave you helpless.
6. Delhi Metro Virtual Smart Card is very opaque. I have never seen an app/smart card/wallet operator that does not show the entire transaction history and fails to record even basic transactions.
7. If the app glitches out entires due to bad network or anything and your QR code does not work, then you have to buy an exit qr token (the customer care guy will arbitrarily charge you anywhere between ₹10 to maximum fare). and on top of that, when you subsequently enter with the VSC the next day, the app will silently deduct ₹40/50. YOu wont even realise this unless you keep a close watch on your remaining wallet balance.
8. If you buy a QR ticket from the app, then even this QR ticket will be refreshed at the time of exit else wont allow you to exit. the fox.

you may use it sometimes but for regular commuting it is a lot of hassle. I really think we all should quit VSC and use physical RFID based smart card.

I generally shop on web, hardly use app, maybe for tracking order once in a while. So last night I was on my bed, away from laptop, I decided to checkon the fridge I was eyeing. Lo and behold, there was extra cashback of 6K (for EMI tx), apart from the regular 2K coupon. The actual wazoo.
