De-clutter / Studio Apt Tips

Hi all,

Do you have any good tips for de-cluttering and maintaining a minimalist, organized apartment with very limited space in a studio apartment?

Of course, I have gotten rid of a lot of items, done best to organized but it is a very small space and still doesn't have that minimal, clean vibe yet.

Thanks!

I am DONE with the homeless EMERGENCY and YOU SHOULD BE TOO

I am not sorry for this post. I do not care how many posts have already been made.

This is a beautiful city that has been RUINED by the unstable, unsanitary, dangerous, drug-using homeless population. Someone who is sleeping in their car and working is not the problem; STOP acting like this is what is going on.

I pay a lot of money to live in an apartment downtown. And not only can I barely sleep because of the groups of "unhoused" screaming and fighting outside, but recently an unstable man broke into my apartment complex. And the police do freaking nothing. I cannot go for a morning walk without passing piles of garbage and needles. I cannot take the bus or wait at the bus station because of the violent and unpredictable people shooting drugs in broad daylight. Parking my car in an expensive car garage is now causing me anxiety as it looks like the homeless are starting to camp outside of the garage and wander in there looking at cars. I do not feel safe without pepper spray, a knife, and my phone just walking around. One of the most beautiful cities in the country looks disgusting.

People defend these insane people stating that they are human beings and just down on their luck. NO. NO. NO. People down on their luck are not dangerous, violent, using drugs, and committing crimes.

The homeless crisis here is absolutely insane and we cannot tolerate it anymore. I am angry and you should be too. Let's stop acting like this is normal.

IF YOU ARE DEFENDING THIS, YOU ARE ALSO THE PROBLEM. Don't bother commenting.

Post solutions, ideas, what we can do, who we can talk to, and your stories here.

Save this city! If we let this happen, it will get worse. Let's be optimistic and at least try.

How to move on after a friendship breakup

Hello all,

Long story short, after nearly 2 years of contemplation and long discussions and overthinking, I have decided to end a friendship.

I am certain about the decision, and am moreso seeking advice on how to move on.

Any advice concerning how to keep the distance, move on and not think about it too much, not just go back and try to mend things again.

I have been friends with her for 10 years and I did not know the heart break I would feel over this! Worse than any relationship break up I've ever had. I always want to just call her like always, text and joke with her, tell her funny stories.

I know I made the right decision, but any advice is welcome.

Beginner Advice

Hello all,

I am a beginner in leading a more stoic lifestyle.

I have read the major stuff (Marcus Aurelius, Ryan Holiday, Seneca), but just would love any advice or recommendations of maybe lesser known reads, movies, or videos. Or any daily practices, random things that help you.

I am struggling hard still with things like comparing myself to others, worrying about all the what ifs, fear of failure etc.

Any suggestions would be great, thank you!
