Hi all, I'm travelling through Ulaanbaatar as part of a longer trip and want to make the most of my time in the city.

Food: I am open to anything from street food to fine dining.

Live music: I'd love to catch traditional Mongolian music if there's a venue or regular show.

Clothing: looking for both traditional pieces and contemporary Mongolian-made/designed clothing. Any shops, markets or designers you'd recommend, ideally not just souvenir-shop quality.

Art: I like to pick up a piece of local art wherever I travel, usually paintings since they're easy to pack. Any galleries, artists or markets worth a look? Ideally nothing too expensive. I am looking for mementos, not fine arts.

Any tips, favourite spots or things you think a first-time visitor would miss are welcome.
