Building Out a D&D group
Alright, I'm out here trying to recruit you to the nerdiness that is D&D, but hear me out.
A bit about me: I recently turned 40 and have been dabbling in this hobby for about 10 years, although I'm not the type d&d stereotype. If you saw me on the street you might peg me as a jock, but please don't peg me. I'm looking for people who are into the game, even if you're new to it. That's totally fine.
What matters most to me is good storytelling and a bit of that "yes, and" roleplay improv energy. D&D's a lot more fun when everyone's there to laugh and have a good time, rather than getting lost in the dice math.
For a sense of the kind of stories I'm drawn to, think Dungeon Crawler Carl, Castlevania, Bloodborne. So somewhere between dark and heroic, and the silly D&D shennanigans. If you've played before, you know nobody stays fully serious for long.
As for the practical details, i'm looking to play mostly online, on weeknights, with room for the occasional in-person meetup if folks are local and down for it.
I've already got two people locked in and I'm looking to round out the group with a few more. If this sounds like your table, drop a comment or DM and let's chat.
Here's a little image teaser for something i've prepped before.... ah nevermind, i can't include images. Oh well. >.< ... I can share stuff if you message
