Players primary positions in brackets

Would any of these players be worth a punt for any of the provinces or has time passes them by?

Please let me know if I’ve missed anyone or if someone isn’t actually IQ

Connacht definitely had more experience but this seems like a pretty inexcusable scoreline.

Game wasn’t streamed so can’t comment on player performance but overall I’d say it was a pretty tough watch

Seen from social media that he is over in La Rochelle with the senior squad.

I know he’s featured in A games across the last few seasons.

Could be a sign that Munster are offering him something substantial?

They’re certainly taking their time to announce so here is a guess.

Given that no other provinces have announced any Leinster players in their intakes I highly doubt an u19 player will be signed.

There is rumour that it’s an intake of 7, being 6 forwards and 1 back. Here’s my prediction

Max Doyle

Sami Bishti

Rian Handley

Donnacha McGuire

Dylan McNeice

Ben Blaney

Charlie Molony

I’ve seen it the last few years that some of the academy players are made to wear old training kit during the start of preseason.

Is it tradition or is it to distinguish them from senior players?

Any ideas?

€4 a month is a very small premium to pay don’t get me wrong

But I feel like the quality and quantity of content since the URC final win has gone downhill

On pitch performances do affect this no doubt

And to be fair they probably didn’t want to show too much off pitch and behind the scenes stuff after all of the issues this year

Thoughts?

Another player spotted in preseason training with Ulster

Ex Connacht academy and Ireland U20’s

Plays inside centre

Most recently was playing for Clontarf in Div 1A

Possibly familiar with Richie Murphy with close ties to Clontarf as a former player

Saw him in the background of one of the posts on Instagram that he’s in pre season training with the squad.

He’s had a few decent performances in the last two years over in Exeter when he was given the chance to play

His AIL club is Clontarf so that might be the link with Richie Murphy

Anyone know the situation there?

Assuming it’s on a trial basis

Anyone have any updates on GOLK?

Has he left the academy or did he change his mind and stick it out for year 3?

A win is a win

Pretty terrible game of rugby from both sides if I’m being honest

Very stop start with a real lack of quality

Rassie has just said during the springbok press conference that Marnus Van De Merwe has suffered a long term injury.

EDIT: HE’S ONLY OUT FOR 6-8 weeks apologies for the confusion folks

Anyone know why the match was abandoned ?

Saw that UCC had a healthy lead with 60mins played
