The gang on my shelf hopes you have a good start to the week.
The prize of my landspeeder collection
Signed and commented by Mark Hamill and Terry McGovern, also signed by Anthony Forrest. This was my favorite card from Star Wars and acquiring this copy of it was a real thrill.
I definitely have a thing for Luke's landspeeder
My array of Luke's landspeeders - the original Kenner toy, the die cast version, my original 1978 lunchbox and the blue series card of the scene where he's stopped. There's one other special piece pictured here, but not in focus. That's a post for a different day.
(And apologies for the pieces here that aren't vintage!)
👋 Welcome to the New r/VintageStarWars!
Hey everyone! I'm u/wcs2, the new moderator of r/VintageStarWars.
This is our new home for all things related to vintage Star Wars. That means the OT and all the stuff around it, up to 1985.
I've added in new rules for the sub - nothing outrageous and really just there in case the trolls find us.
I'll be sharing some of my collection and hope to see a lot of yours. Comics, posters, action figures and other toys, memorabilia and other media all made up to 1985 are what we'd like to see here, so please share!
Thanks for being part of the new wave. Together, let's make sure the Force is with r/VintageStarWars, always.

I really like dealing with this seller - really open to making things work out and absolutely amazing selection.

If no one else is stepping up to save the sub, I don't mind modding (and nurturing) another small sub. If there is someone else leading the charge, I'd be happy to support them, but I do think this sub has something to offer the community.
We're restoring Golden Age 3D comics! Alongside classic stories by Kirby, Kubert, Powell and others, we've added a new story written by Carl Scheckel and drawn by DC artist Adriana Melo.
We proved the concept and process with a graphic novel last year and now they've never looked better.
Looking for compressor upgrade recommendations
I just upgraded my cabinet to a Skat Blast CAT 40 and I'm starting to think I should upgrade my compressor, too. Does anyone here have a good recommendation?
Here's how it gets used:
I use glass media to take rust, thin paint and minor crud off of smallish, mostly steel parts (some aluminum). It's important to have a smooth piece when I'm done, so my understanding is glass is the best choice here (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).
I need to use it for 2 or 3 hours between 1 and 3 times a week, indoors.
The compressor I have is an older (2003) Campbell Hausfeld Iron Force air compressor 60 gallon, 7 HP. (The 7 HP is a lie, I've read.) Since it needs to take a break more than I do, I'm wondering if a different compressor will let me get my work done more quickly. I'm fine with a used model if that's more economical, but I'm open to any suggestions as long as it's electric and not gas/diesel.
I'm not sure how international this sub is, so if it helps, I'm in the US.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts you may have on how to get the job done better.
