Is it okay to just press "save" in game? Or do I need to do anything else

I saved from the in game menu. Can I close the game and boot it up and it'll load the save? Or do I need to save it some file from the menu? I'm sorry if this is a dumb question I'm just scared.. lol

is there a way to repeat a ramp throughout like this in Karma material builder? Or a better way to cut up the lines like a real road?

I know how i'm gonna exclude the side lines from having the ramp on them, i'm just struggling to repeat a pattern. Please help
